Most likely yes, beta 7 today and GM at the event in 2-2.5 weeks. That would fit how they've done prior GMs waiting 2-3 weeks between last beta and GM.

Unless Apple has changed the event week from prior years, which is possible if the new venue isn't ready or just planned for a week or 2 later this year. But we'll know that in about a week as Apple started sending out event invitations to journalists around Aug 31st for last year's event.

Then maybe a beta 8 in there.

I am guessing beta 7 today, beta 8 the 28th, then GM on the 18th. Labor Day and September 11th throw a wrench in the timing.
How does Labor Day and 9/11 mess up timing? Its like this every year. The event will be Wednesday the 6th or Tuesday the 12th. The event always falls on a Tuesday, unless its the week of Labor Day, then its a Wednesday. Only WWDC Keynote happens on a Monday. All other Apple events are Tuesday/Wednesday.

Maybe I was mistaking my days then. I thought they were usually on Monday's. If Tuesday, yea your timing makes sense.
