beta 9 is 1.79GB on my ipad air 2 OTA from beta 7
Same thing happened to me when I jumped from bet 6 to beta 8.

Thats because Beta 8 is absolutely terrible on my iPad. Obviously beta 9 is because of issues with beta 8 and was not intended.
Obviously? How do you know that? Obviously no beta until Monday or no more beta at all and here we are...yes we can speculate but I hate when guys are coming saying: well here is what happened with IOS 8 or 9 or 10 or whatever. They do whatever they want whenever they want according to their needs. Even now there will be people saying no more betas until the 12th...but who knows? Even the reddit guy said one more beta and that is it :)

One day late......not that I’m one to gloat. There have been several twice weekly betas, what I said wasn’t so far wrong then was it.

As of yesterdayday, we didn’t saw that coming. Normally Apple shipped a separate version for banking development (E.g. Apple Pay Development) a day earlier. That did not happen. Guess that there was a big bug in the last beta.

a beta was released on Monday...and there hasn't been any massive glitches so there's no reason for another today. This will be it until the keynote

No need to spend anytime searching for other threads

reddit guy did say there would be one more before the event, he didn't call the exact date but this seems like it was a surprise to everyone.

Yeah he said the one would be beta 8. He said it shortly after 7 dropped.

lol that could very well be... Although it was pretty impressive when he called that one that dropped at like 4 in the afternoon (i forget which beta # that was) everyone thought there wasn't one coming that day/week

Actually, I’m one day ahead of myself this week. I kept thinking yesterday was Thursday. Not sure why. Ha. It’s been Monday and Thursday in the past when that week has seen 2 betas

I wonder what was so urgent with iOS and TvOS that they needed to push out another beta before the event.

That’s not the issue. In the past the banks received - for Apple Pay testing purposes - one working day ahead of the developer (so a developer beta on Monday results in banking beta on the Friday). So in this case, we should have received a beta yesterday. This did not happen. That’s why it was a surprise...

That was a nerve wracking moment. PB dropped ever so slightly later than usual. 40MB on iPhone 7 Plus, about 37MB on iPad mini 4. Didn't I see someone say the developer beta was over 1GB on their iPhone?

That was because they skipped a beta so a full download was necessary. It’s about 40mb on my 7.

I'm thinking we may have a repeat of last year. iPhones will ship with 11.0 but GM will be 11.0.1.
Yeah possibly since we have new iPhone's and Apple TV's being announced they needed a 'final' 11.0 to push to devices, but then I'm surprised there was no Watch OS beta pushed also.
