No absent some absolutely critical last minute bug found.

Beta 9 was by all accounts not supposed to happen, and likely was a last minute bug/issue in Beta 8

I really believe that we will not see a final iOS 11.0. The new devices will come with iOS 11 and needed to update to iOS 11.0.1 which will be the first public release of iOS11...

I hope apple fix the choppy animations on iphone 7 before the official release. Otherwise I’ll just have to stay on ios 10.3.3 until ios 11.3.

By all accounts? I ask again: how do you know that? By all means speculate but this thread is full of people that know what is going to happen or happened and when an unexpected happens...they have no guts to come and say I was just speculating. By all accounts „by all accounts“ is not speculation :)
I think by now with Apple nobody except an inside source can anticipate based on the past. We can of course speculate but stop with the NOs or „it was this or that“ because you know nothing. Yes we are very close to the event and maybe Apple has never released a beta this close (I do not know, I haven’t looked) but if they want or need to release a beta they will not ask themselves: well we need to do it but some guy on macrumors said we won’t.

Latest PB is a lot smoother, but still a few jitters. Battery life is the same as the last build. I don't expect a new build before the keynote, but anything is possible.

There you go...this is how speculating is done :)
Okay everyone, no more posts that speculate in any way except for saying “we don’t know anything” and then follow up every post by saying “anything is possible.” Should make for a very interesting and insightful thread.

Because the reddit guy who is clearly "in the know" correctly stating EVERY one of the 8 beta release correctly, said 8 was it before the event. By simple logic, and the fact it was only 3 days later, beta 9 was clearly an emergency release to fix something that could not wait until the .0.1/.1 update.

Believe what you want to though.

Yes clearly...that is why he had no clue about beta 9 :)

Simple logic? Yes this is how Apple works...
And the fact that it was only 3 days after? So with your simple logic, if it was after 4 days it would not have been a fix but a...what? Are you talking now about the X files or about beta? :))

Thats because Beta 8 is absolutely terrible on my iPad. Obviously beta 9 is because of issues with beta 8 and was not intended.

I'm thinking we may have a repeat of last year. iPhones will ship with 11.0 but GM will be 11.0.1.
Most likely correct. Especially if you guys idea that there is already a GM and these last betas are for a future version of iOS 11 not 11.0 is a fact.

Not if the theory some here have regarding the GM already existing and the past few betas would only be for finding and fixing future iOS 11 builds but not for iOS 11.0.

Do you think we'll see beta 10 !!
I’d be surprised if we do this close to the event, but I was also surprised at the quick release of beta 9 (I still have no idea what that fixed)

Today would be the day though... and it wouldn’t be anything huge (too risky this close) unless it was to enable features they’ve had buried in the code all along like the elusive “dark mode”

It seems like BETA9 was a planed release and not a "quick fix". They released a new tvOS build as well the very same day and macOS High Sierra BETA9 got released the day after. If it was a quick fix for something wrong in iOS 11 BETA8 I doubt we would have gotten BETA9 for all other devices (expect watchOS).

People still thinking it might come out today nah we got beta 9 thursday and its a holiday and there isnt ever a beta 10
