No. Because none of those fixes will be implemented in the GM. iOS 11.0 is what it is. Anything going forward will be for 11.0.1 and above.

Yeah, quickly for 11.0.1 which most are saying will probably drop not long after the 12th. Anything better then this beta right now would be nice.

Last year, the public release of the new iOS main versions has been a week after the keynote (usually around 4-5 days prior the delivery of the new devices). The public release of iOS was actually the iOS 10.0.1 (new devices needed to be update to be able to activate the device.). A week later, Apple release iOS 10.0.2.

I see a following approach here:

- iOS 11 GM to be released on September 12th - after the keynote for developer and public beta testers
- iOS 11 public release around September 18th (probably iOS 11.0.1) - new devices will likely need to be update prior activation
- iOS 11.0.2 a week or two after iOS 11.01

The current betas are already for a later release (probably iOS 11.0.2).

GMs are usually released about a week before the event, and the public release is on the day of the event. That's how it was with iOS 8, 9, and 10, and coincides with the GM for the new versions of Xcode to support the new iOS.

No. Look at the timeline of past major releases. The GM is only for developer and public testers as it removes the feedback app.

The public release of all platforms always was released the Monday or Tuesday prior the shipment of the new iPhones.

Not sure where you are getting your info, but the GM is typically released ON the day of the event, not one week before. Even the article you linked is for the GM being released to Public testers one day after it was released to developers after the iPhone event, which was on September 7th last year.

I might just stay on 10.3.3 until 11.1 is released. Nothing too new anyway, messages in iCloud is delayed and control center redesign is nothing too special.

But I’ll upgrade to 11 on my iPad.

If I delete the Beta profile from my phone, will I then just receive the GM like everyone else, and then not receive any future Beta OTA's? Thanks.

Delete it after you install the GM, else you will need to wait for the official iOS 11 to roll out to everybody, which will be around 19 September, most likely.

Realistically the GM is done and being loaded on the new phones as we speak.....so now begins the waiting process since the GM always contains a few new goodies shown off on stage.
I don’t think there’s any truth in this secret “goodies” theory that seems to be doing the rounds this year

Well iOS 10.0 was kind of crap when it came out so what would you expect from iOS 11.0? Every major version of iOS gets done and most bugs ironed out by the time a new major version of iOS' beta testing starts.

Will the PB 8 folks see a PB 9? Or just go straight to GM? If 9 is due for us then it’d be today maybe, eh?
