I’m having a problem with sending audio messages through the Messages app.

Seems that any audio message longer than 4:30/5:00 gets hung up and never seems to send. Short 2-3 minute messages go through just fine.

I’ve sent feedback, but wondered if anyone else is experiencing this...

Would anyone be kind enough to test this for me, just so I can make sure the issue isn’t on my end? I’ve played around with my Messages app settings and can’t seem to find a solution.

Just try to send a 5-minute audio recording through the Messages app and see if the recipient actually receives it.

Thanks!

Mine is an XS Max. Mine is definitely random in when it gives the feedback.

Weirdly enough now I’m not getting feedback when swiping all the way home. Only getting feedback when accessing app switcher, but it was just working fine. Getting feedback everywhere except swiping home and for whatever reason, feedback seems stronger when 3D touching objects, but weaker when accessing app switcher.

Very similar to my situation. I’ve reported it as a bug anyway.

When you first check the update, did it shows up as updated as today or in the past? I believe whenever an app started to upload it may show up as an available update but shows a posted date in the past. For example, Apollo showed up in the AppStore today but posted date last month (last updated). If you updated that app, it may show up again when you manually check the AppStore later as updated/posted “Today”. If so, the AppStore has always been like that.

Nope, I've got 3 apps that show "Yesterday." I downloaded them, pulled down to refresh and now they have updates again. Touching on any of those apps goes to a blank page, often without an app's icon

This is on top of the App Store rarely loading like it used to. Most of the time it times out and you have to hit retry, often multiple times.

Recently just happened. I have the same. Two apps showing update all the time now. And I’m on 12.1.3 release. Getting annoying.

Sorry if this has been mentioned already, the Dunkin Donuts app seems to be broken on 12.2. Cannot sign into an account (although if one is already signed in it will function). Also cannot add or merge gift cards and cannot reload gift cards using any payment method including Apple Pay.

I haven’t been able to find any info on this, so I apologize in advance if I missed it in the thread.

I can’t seem to use “Open in New Tab” for Firefox or Brave, the option doesn’t even show up. I have had that happen in the past, but killing the app and restarting always worked. Now, nothing. Did the usual clear browsing data and reboot phone, still the same.

I don't think it has anything to do with this iOS 12.2 beta 1, because I think it has something to do with the Firefox app.

The "Open in new Tab" is still in Chrome's popup menu, and you can somehow still open a link in Firefox in a new tab, by holding your finger on the link, and then move up til the + in the upper right corner of the browser window.

Another way is to add your link to Reading List, and then read from there when you are ready.

On Android the "Open Link in New Tab" is still available: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/using-tabs-firefox-android - but not on iOS: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/use-tabs-firefox-ios

for what it's worth 12.2 public beta breaks functionality for those using a 30pin adapter to smart plug for the purpose of using an ANT+ dongle... I know prolly very very few people but thought worth mentioning. I had to downgrade back to 12.1 to get it to work again. I remember having this issue with ios11 beta so maybe the functionality will be there again at a later date but who knows.

Like I say, Firefox isn't the only browser app having the issue for me. Brave is having the same issue. Do they use the same engine underneath?

Also, isn't Reading List for Safari? I see that I can add to the Reading List from Firefox, but can I access the Reading List in Firefox?

You can access your Reading List by clicking on the three lines to the right of the address bar, and then click on the menu item.

I don’t used Brave so I can’t comment on this.

I’m suddenly not getting badges for iMessage. Checked settings, and it’s still turned on. First time I’ve had this problem with iMessage.

I’m also experiencing the same issue. I’m receiving no notifications for iMessages, however it only seems to be if you leave the conversation open. I’ve noticed that if I exit the conversation, and exit the messages app, the notifications for that particular conversation work again.

It’s probably been posted, but content blockers are broken in Safari. I’m considering going back to 12.1.3 for that reason alone if it’s not fixed in beta 2
I went back to 12.1.3 for now. I’ll upgrade to 12.1.4 next week.

If the next beta fixes this issue, I’ll probably jump back on the b-train. I reported it.

Which one are you using? I use Purify, but I haven’t moved to 12.2 yet.

I hate to admit that I am playing with Luna, but it is working fine.

If you haven't heard of Luna, it is controversial because while it blocks advertising effectively in both Safari *and* iOS applications, they admit that they use your anonymized data. If you don't mind that they're harvesting data, it works well.
