I haven’t jumped on this beta as of yet but I must say the WiFi and cellular performance on 12.1.3 has been atrocious on my XS. The last version that I was pretty satisfied with the WiFi and cell performance was 12.1.1.

Anyone know if 12.2 beta has fixed this or at least made it better?

Maybe the Apple Pay issue is related to "older" devices ?? - I have an iPhone X and I'm also having the same "Apple Pay requires an update on this iPhone" problem.
Just to follow up on my own post...

The issue with Apple Pay has fixed it self - yesterday I was able to see the credit card part in Wallet, but it required a restart of my X before it worked.

On the XS connectivity issues threads, some folks have said their problems were much better with 12.1.3, others said worse. Maybe it's not iOS?

Anyone still having the freeze when entering settings? Seemed to be gone in 12.1.3 but it's happening again randomly in 12.2.

I experience the signal crash if you stay in Settings>General>About and scroll up and down and tapping around like on the carrier version from T-Mobile to Voice & SMS and exit. It happens sometimes but not always.

At this point I feel like they are just constantly experimenting. Hopefully they will find the right firmware and carrier settings to make the XS and XR perform like they are supposed to.

Can anyone confirm that Apple pay works now? I see some posts saying that it works and some not?

I was going to update, but couldn't live without my contactless Apple pay.

I believe one user reported it resolved itself. However, mines remained the same but I’ve disabled Apple Pay & Wallet on my old device ever since I switched to the Max before updating it to this beta. This device I use as an iPod though.

Not sure if this counts, but I can use Apple Pay using my watch. Haven’t tried it with just my phone (XSM), though.

Anyone else having this issue with a Gmail/Google account?

Yes, indeed.

I can no longer replicate properly with AOL accounts or Google Mail accounts.

iCloud accounts working just fine.

Now...interestingly, I can get AOL mail and Google Mail if I am using their proprietary applications, which leads me to believe that it could have something to do with how they are trying to implement tracking and/or advertising.

I hope this is not another "Enterprise Certificate" scandal waiting to happen.

Has anybody had issues with calendar syncing?
I am struggling to get calendars to sync in iCloud and Exvhange.

So Wi-Fi and data/signal no better then...?
iphone 8, unlocked on ATT = WiFi down: 234 Mbps, up: 11.6, on 12.1.3
iPhone 8+, unlocked on ATT = WiFi down: 230 Mbps, up: 11.4, on 12.1.3
iPhone XS, on ATT = WiFi down: 89.9, up: 10.8, on 12.2.B1

Readings taken from same spot using home router over 10 minute span.
You just can't make a Yugo run like an Hemi by adding higher octane gas.

Anyone’s else’s AppStore keep downloading the same app updates since earlier today? Mine is set to manual and whenever I go check for updates it keeps showing them available for the last three. Thx.

When you first check the update, did it shows up as updated as today or in the past? I believe whenever an app started to upload it may show up as an available update but shows a posted date in the past. For example, Apollo showed up in the AppStore today but posted date last month (last updated). If you updated that app, it may show up again when you manually check the AppStore later as updated/posted “Today”. If so, the AppStore has always been like that.
