No joke!! Absolutely killing my battery!
Same. Prior to this beta I would be able to get through a full day with about 25% left when I plug in for the night and now I’m stuck charging it around 8-9pm to get an extra few hours of usage.

Hello, I am appearing with you a green bar showing up when you start, end connections visible on video.
I have this bug probably from the beginning of iOS12, someone will confirm on your device?
On iOS 11 I am glad that it was not a problem.
Now on 12.2 beta2 is still occurring.

Anyone else having issues with iMessage notifications?

The message comes through but it doesn’t notify me at all. SMS oddly works perfect.

I’m not sure if it’s the beta, or if it’s because I changed my iCloud email address recently because of an attempted hack and it’s caused an issue with messages in the cloud.

Ok iCloud messages is not the issue, disabled it and the issue still remains.

Same. No notifications for iMessage or SMS.

No issues with notifications of iMessage.

Lmao. That’s not a bug. It allows you to return to the call right away when you’re not on the call the screen.

Please watch the video he posted. We all know that the bar allows to return to the call right away if we are using other apps but what he means is that when he ENDS the call this bar appears for like 1 second.
I do not have this on 12.1.4 and iPhone X.

At this point i think you should either wait till i don't know which iOS version or the best way would be to just fresh install iOS since no one is having this bug.

It's an error. A green bar should appear during the call by pressing home during the call.
And it appears earlier during dialing and after the call. Animation error.
In iOS 11, I did not have this problem.
It is possible that this error will not occur on the iphone with notch.

Installing ios cleanly without backup does not help in this case.

The error occurs on every version of iOS 12 that I had.
I'm sure every iphone without notch has this error.

Yes and I can see it on my XS Max. But 1 second delay seems more related to performance delay than a bug. I wouldn’t even see that as a bug since it’s more for OCD.

While it is a error I highly doubt it’s in apples priority to fix it in iOS 12. Best bet is to wait and see if iOS 13 has a redesign and fixes it with that.

If everyone here reports it. Then they’ll fix before iOS 13.
Not likely. Have you had a look at the list of bugs in the first post of this (and every other release) thread? A lot of the bugs listed were present prior to the release of iOS 12.

It seems to be a bug/glitch. Whether or not it actually bothers someone is a somewhat different/separate thing.

Definitely an animation issue. It probably works the same way as when you force close the music app while listening to muisc; the music does not abruptly stop, but fades away. I believe it is the same for the phone conversation. Once the call ends, the animation is delayed (maybe to show you the call actually ended?). Does not bother me as it doesn't stop me from using my phone normally post-call.

It is not always 1 sec, sometimes the green bar will pop out to 0.5 sec sometimes for 2 sec

I have reported a few times..
I like very smooth animations of ios, therefore, seeing this green beam error, I report it.
Often I call so I still see him ...

Additionally when during the phone call we click add (+) and go to the "last" or "favorite" tab, the green beam covers the upper part of the tab:

Glad it wasn’t just me.

However I’ve gone for the nuclear option, I’ve restored back to iOS 12.1.4 now and set my phone up as new and had a massive declutter and things are working amazingly now.

Sometimes starting again from fresh is a good idea. I had lots of little bugs which I never knew about, like the fact that half my contacts saved to gmail and half to iCloud even though iCloud was the default account.

I guess spreading a backup over years worth of iPhones can introduce gremlins, so I’m glad I’ve done it now.

I must also resist temptation to hop back on the beta train, that can be one wild ride when things go wrong.

Any data loss?

I understand. Just got to train your self to ignore it. I’m guessing Apple doesn’t see it as a problem at all. It’s just micro seconds after a call so I wouldn’t worry on it.

Nah nothing major, all my photos and music are in the iCloud. Messages I had already deleted due to trying to diagnose the lack of iMessage notifications. I guess maybe some save games on games I no longer played, but I've not bothered to reinstall them anyway.

To be honest I had hoarded a load of crap on my phone, now only have 49 apps instead of 100 so much cleaner.

Things are also seeming to work better as well, 4G/Wifi calling seems more reliable now, my music library is working better now. Apps seem to load and respond quicker now too.

It didn't take as long as expected either, had it all reset and back up and running within an evening. I went for a full DFU restore to remove any trace of the beta before i set it up again.

If you do this option just make sure you delete the 12.2 backup out of the iCloud or the phone will refuse to backup stating that a backup from a newer version exists.

Yeah when I dropped from the beta everything cloud-based looked great for me (music, photos, messages) except for my health data. I lost years of weight tracking and watch-based activity. I was in to have my phone swapped the other day and the genius basically said there's nothing that can be done.

That’s weird my health data was all there fully, all the way back to my iPhone 6S+ & Pebble days.

**edit**

Just checked and my health data goes back to 24th of June 2016. I do believe it’s stored separately in the iCloud now it seems.
