iOS 12.2 Beta 3 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Must be so new that I don’t have it! What device and how’d you get to that? I still have the old fairly limited selections.

Edit: Never mind: Once I input a date and hit “custom” it popped up. I like the multi-date per month feature and the every Xth month feature.

I can safely recommend this beta as a daily driver with testing. Battery life is also improved.

The location icon on the XS Max has slight refinements. And there are some minor animations when the icons switches from a active to non active state.

Also Bluetooth or airplay icon has cool animation now.

Yep. It’s much faster. Here’s to hoping it’s reliable as well. So far no issues.

Lol took me 30mins to finish it. It’s been there since the last beta or so.

WiFi is a little better. Cellular is at its best at the moment. Won’t get any better due to the intel chip sadly. So far the radio hasn’t crashed yet like it was in the previous betas.

Actually just realize how I typed it made it seems like I was talking about the entire call screen. It’s in the top left corner on the XS Max. It looks like it’s related to general animations on the XS for the top left corner icons.

Also call screen has slight design improvements to the keypad button.

Okay wow. This update made my phone usable again. I can finally type and text without any lag. Switching between apps is more fluid. It’s only been a few hours but I’m noticing an overall difference in performance and stability.

iMessage typing animation has been slightly refined.

When you get to 1% things don’t slow down aggressively like before. No stuttering. Just slight lag here and there.

Exactly. Superb. Along with improved battery life and more stable WiFi.

Found a small change on iPad. In the Music App the now playing view Has rounded corners on the top now.

Edit: also found a bug where the Artist‘s name is offset if the song is explicit.

does anyone have homebridge Running with multiple „tvs“ (harmony or so). Do they all Show Up now in Control Center tv Remote?
 
Does someone have an iPad Air 2 and can say how it works with the beta? Mine feels very slow now. But it’s an old iPad. So...
 
Is in the betas of iOS 12.2 a new behaviour with the „Music Player“ on the lockscreen?
After i stoped the music in the app, it still shows the player on the lock screen.
‍I hope it is a bug.

XS Max, the date charge bug is fixed on the main screen!! Also the battery level is way way better and Group FaceTime has been fixed!!!! Or reenables again....



So far beta 3 rocks I love it especially on my phone it used to drop before my eyes the battery percentage and holding a better charge.


Is everyone else happy?

That is a bug. It was a bug present in the first iOS 12 betas, but was fixed. They'll likely fix it in the next 12.2 beta or so.

Same here... I don't know about you guys but I usually know what day it is lol... I don't need a constant reminder on my lockscreen. I was really hoping the charge level on lockscreen was a change and not a bug... oh well.

I dunno man... I feel like "time and date" makes more sense than "time and battery percentage". Seems like putting a percentage in the status bar would make more sense.

Just me? Maybe.

No iMessage notification bug still alive. No notification when you get iMessage or sometimes first iMessage gets notification. Sometimes just second iMessage notifies.
