It does when using the Apple Smart Battery Case, on wake battery % for 2 seconds then switches to date. Take the case off and it wakes directly to date.

Is anyone else having an issue with iMessage where you try to send an image to another iMessage recipient that is not on a beta and they get a tap to download bubble but can’t download it?
Normally, the image should just show for the recipient but it prompts them to download instead and then fails to download when clicked.

I believe it has happened before with some updates, at least initially, and then it changed some time later.

Update on beta 3, so honest i have zero complaints not had one call failure and honestly this is the most stable iOS release I’ve had on iOS 12, I couldn’t be happier I’m scared beta 4 could break something but if it stays like this then I’m happy

Well, I still have complaints. IP8+, sometimes drops the call. At the end of the call the screen is locked. When I open the settings, the screen gets white for a few seconds.
Everyone saying they can’t find any problems and I’m over here reading the HUGE list of issues that haven’t been fixed since iOS 12 initially came out.
The issue with that list is there's a ton of stuff that gets reported by one person and confirmed by another but is not something that will affect users on a day to day basis. In other words, they're likely not high on the priority list for Apple.
Metro North E-tix app charges my card but didn’t put the ticket into my E-wallet!! Bank said 48 hours it will refund my cash and Metro North said I got the ticket!!! They app messed up on. iOS 12 and refused to give me my ticket or money back!
I got stuck at a train station with no ticket home and no money because they took the last little cash I had! And I also tried it twice and it double charged my card, yet still no E ticket. And they just recently updated their app.
This is Metro North Train app E-Tix application provides ticket to get on the train!!! I called their support and Metro North said to call my bank account and they don’t see any transactions on their end!!! Now they are on pending state the charges so now I have to wait 24-48 hours! I lost $40 trying to to buy this ticket via app!!!
Also I was on my way to get my pay check and when I did this purchase it was the last of my money!!! So I had to call family and have them send me money via cash app and make a deposit into my bank account and than walk up to the tellers window and manually swipe the card....!!!!!!

Could be the app and IOS could be the app I don’t know, I haven’t tested it further!! Anyway it’s not the end of the world, just messed me up. During my busy day today or running around that’s all you know!!

I was pissed earlier!! Got my check I’m happy end of story, but yes this happen for the first time. Also their app was updated about 2 or 3 weeks back! And yes I will use beta cause this beta made my phone much better!

Like the others have said, you can’t blame Apple as you’re on a beta and you really can’t blame the app developer either as they aren’t required to support beta software.
I understand your being upset, but perhaps this means you should revert back to the current version.
Is anyone else getting this message appear at the bottom of the messages app when messages in the cloud isn’t enabled. Only noticed this on this beta

I concur, this beta seems very stable for me also. I haven't ran into any issue from my day to day use. Im seeing noticeable performance improvement also, face id is much better and overall experience is great. Im in agreement, hopefully next beta continues on this track, however from what I have seen before on previous builds im worried we will see bit of performance impact on the final build.
Yes I am as well have for the last two beta's. I sent feedback to apple. If I click repair it does nothing. If I restart it goes away. Either way it will come back the next day on its own. Doesn't seem to cause an issue but annoying for sure. Side note I do not use iCloud myself for my messages.
