Just disable auto join for your 2.4ghz. That’s what I did.

Thanks - I likely will, eventually.
It is something I check as this bug has surfaced in the past.
Low power Low speed 2.4 vs higher power higher speed 5.

Will play a couple more days as it only happens on a reboot. If it still prioritizes the 2.4 I'll disable the auto join.

No issues here with B6, smooth as ever and no issues that I can see. I just hope the cut-off notifications don't pop up again as it did in B5.

Remove (Forget) the 2.4 network on your iPhone.

Can't. I have some items that are wifi 2.4 only and occasionally need to link into them.

I would suggest to try one SSID again to see if it will improve. Even though the router do no have that feature, it is still possible the IPP would prefer to connect to the better band under the same WiFi name.

Night give that a shot.
Thx ;)

I don’t mean on your router, I mean remove the saved 2.4 network from your iPhone so it can’t automatically connect to it.

I got your meaning - sorry if I was unclear.
I have a couple of items on my 2.4 that in order to connect and make changes I have to be on the same 2.4
After I play a bit more I'll just turn off auto join.

Thanks ;)

My wifi gives me 5.0 when I'm closer like in the house always, but if I walk outside it tends to switch to 2.4. as I get further away from it. Working as it should I believe.
Silly question, on the iPhone how can you tell what band you are connecting to?

Actually, that's a good question. I switch between Android and Apple all the time and sometimes forget the apps don't match up. It's an Android app that tells me that information. But I would imagine it's similar with the iPhone as far as my router changing output. That's also what the tech who installed it told me. I can verify it on my Android by walking away from the router and when I get far enough away it automatically switch's over. Sorry if I was misleading.
The app is called signal spy and now that Google fi accepts certain iPhones in their system I'm wondering why the app wouldn't be available on the app store because it goes hand-in-hand with Google fi. Very handy app indeed.

Technically 2.4 is not really "low power". Actually it could be considered higher power since it has better range and passes through walls better than 5ghz band. But certainly 5g is the faster by quite a bit. (provided you are close enough for a good signal). It really will prioritize the stronger signal also. So as @Banglazed suggested, setting both to same SSID may help. If separate networks it will most likely latch on to 2.4 and never switch back due to the stronger 2.4 network signal.

Have a look at : getwifiwidget.com . That's what I use to see on which WiFi I'm on . On the site there is a link that takes you to the AppStore .

Edit : The full name of the app is : Wifi Widget-See,Test,Share

I noticed something peculiar; when using the ATV remote in control center with my ATV4, I can't navigate in the YouTube app. Oddly I can navigate around in other apps and in the menus, but it ignores swiping to navigate in YouTube.

Is anyone else seeing this?

Within a conversation in the Messages app, attempting to “forward” an emoji to another contact crashes the Messages app every time.

(Press and hold the emoji, select “More,” tap the arrow in the bottom right of the screen, choose a contact to send it to, and boom - crash)

Reported.

Noticed a little oddity on this beta. An Xs with ATT physical SIM & T-Mobile eSIM. When waking phone T-Mobile shows 4 bars and ATT shows no bars. After about 5+ seconds ATT shows 4 bars and after another 5 seconds, both drop to 3 bars.
ATT is set for calls and T-Mobile for data.
I also noticed when on a call ATT drops all bars and T-Mobile shows 4. No problem with the calls, when finished, both show 3 bars. Never noticed this on the other betas.

Has anyone using iOS developer beta 12.2 see the song text on Apple CarPlay not centered where it’s more to the left and also on the iPad Pro 11 inch in the music app has anyone seen the album art thumbnail images blurry?

Uninstalled and reinstalled Chase app. Still crashing.

It happens when I go to see details on one of my accounts (any of them) and I go back to main account/home page.

XsMax, b6. This is weird (and extremely annoying).

When you say view accounts. Do you mean view transactions?
