I never have automatic updates turned on. Was that the reason why, or did it force itself down your throat somehow?

I don't have it turned on on either my iPhone or iPad. The ATV4K though, yes. It hasn't installed, but now I'm concerned lol. I don't have a problem with iOS queuing up updates during the night while on the charger, in fact I think it's pretty smart.

It's just that this particular beta is coming at a bad time, but I won't rehash it so I don't annoy that one other user with no profile pic and less than 1000 posts.

iOS will download updates regardless of the state of this setting. However, without it, it will only notify you that there's an update available and toss a badge onto Settings.

Thanks for the clarification. It also sounds like you're suggesting that I won't have to worry about it stealth-installing while I slumber?

You should verify that auto-install is disabled. If it is then don't worry about it. Just don't accidentally allow iOS to schedule an install (it will prompt from time to time to install the downloaded update, just keep hitting later).

Has the update been pulled? Cannot download it...
been trying to get it yesterday on an iPad Pro 10.5 with no success.

Edit:
Known Issues: iOS 12.3 beta 3 can only be installed if you are running iOS 12.3 beta 2. Our next beta release will resolve this issue so you can also install from other versions of iOS.

saw this after posting. well... that explains it coming from release. ;)

Could be Siri is still trying to learn ... IPP G2 B3
Watching TV and infrequently (2x today so far, 1x yesterday) Siri will try to give me information or a list of websites regarding the topic that is playing. Was watching Unearthed just now and Siri gave me a list of websites about Karnak ... o_O

My 8+ has not done that (12.2)

Update: Had it happen again however this time it did it on the IPP while watching the Dodger vs Cubs. Siri interrupts the show and proceeds to give me the current box score. WTH?!?

Did you try downloading the IPSW file?
if you're referring to the developer.apple.com site, it won't show me images other than Xcode on the download page because because I'm not a developer* (I think it's odd that iMore sends people there). unless there is an alternative...

Edit: never mind. think I found a source.

*heck, I use to be an engineer there, but that was eons ago and doesn't count apparently. :)

If you're worried about that potentially happen, go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage and delete the update file there (it'll show up as an app in the list).

It will probably redownload but I don't think it'll install automatically.

That won't break anything, will it?

Is anyone else getting really bad battery life with this beta? Mine is loosing 10% in an hour or so just sitting in my pocket, whereas normally that would be 1-2%

So far it’s the same as other betas. Restart your device then let it stay in stand by for a hour and check the battery stats.

No and if I recall, once you delete it it wont download again either at least for a while. (other than manually)
It used to be that way initially, but then they changed it and it will still download and sometimes without that much time passing by.

Seeing some weird lock screen notification bug with do not disturb. All I did was tap on it.
