Hi folks!
Noob question here...And if this is against the rules, remove my post..
I see so many having this beta already and im quit sure not all have paid for a developer profile. Its many of them on the internet, and im not going to ask for one here.
Im just wondering, if there are a lot of these profiles out there, is that meaning that registered paid user have just been sharing them with non-paid users?
Meaning your device will somehow been showing to apple as another person as a owner of the profile?
Also,is this legit or can apple pull out the plug for that profile and all its users so they all stop working or receiving updates?

Just a side not to previous answers the profiles are not unique. It is one profile downloaded from the dev sites. They are only unique between versions. Currently I have the iOS 11 beta profile installed which means I only get iOS 11 betas. I am on 11.4.1 beta 1. If I wanted 12 I uninstalled 11 and install the 12 beta profile. But this is the same file all other devs would install.

Same with MacOS and WatchOS.

Those dots are not cellular signal but indicator for control center. Swipe down and you will see CC open. This was 1st seen in iOS11 on the iPhoneX. Although that one may have been more of a solid bar. Cant remember exactly.

It was a solid line on iPhone X, and it sat below the status bar.

This one is clearly grey'd out dots from a cellular signal. Not sure why it keeps getting mentioned as a grab handle for control centre.

I think the answer you are looking for is yes, you can change between profiles. As far as safer, PB will be the exact same as the DP once PB comes out. Its typically around DP 3 when that happens. So safer to wait until the PB actually comes out but afterwards there is no difference.

No they aren't. They are the signal bars - as it's been said several times, it's a bug in the first beta.

There's no indicators at all for the control centre on the iPhone X in app. The only indicator is a solid line below the status bar on the lock screen.

Anyone has the bug in activity app under achievements it’s just a endless loading symbol? Everything else in the app works so far.

Overall the beta feels damn smooth on iPhone X. Native apps is opening faster!

Yes, I’ve got the same, haven’t figured out how to get them back yet but feel a restore may be required.

Just because that’s where you swipe down for control center doesn’t mean those dots are for that lol... it’s pretty clear those are the dots for signal. When you have no signal, the bars shrink all the way down for 4 dots. The only control center indicator is the the bar that sometimes shows up along the bottom right of the status bar.
On a non-cellular device? Ok maybe you are right. Maybe not tho :). Not seen a bar yet btw, just that indicator and it goes away when you swipe it down just like the bar in the iPX.

I guess because they changed CC on the iPad in this version. That's when the bar appeared on the iPX when CC was no longer a swipe up but a grab handle to show you where it was. So it stands to reason there would be some indicator that CC activation has changed on iPad with iOS 12, especially since these dots are appearing on a non-cellular device. But I don't work for Apple and do not know 100% that is the case. I suspect you guys don't either but if you do know 100% please share your evidence. Anyway that would be the 'why' it got mentioned. Of course it could change to a solid bar, go away, become 6 dots, etc in the next betas. We just have to see I suppose.

Battery usage by my iPad Air 2 is phenomenal. Its been off the charger since about 11:15am (EDT) and its still at 95% even with some light usage. For a beta, that's incredible.

OK I get it. No worries and sorry if I ruffled everyone's feathers. But its been 'assumed' to be a bug several times and maybe it is, but maybe its not. That bar on the iPX was also initially thought to be a bug too until folks figured out what it was for and that it went away after some time. Anyway not to worry. I concede it MAY be a bug ok? Sorry I had a different opinion of another possibility other than a bug. But it sure did help me figure out where they moved CC to on my iPad LOL

Does the volume HUD still show up in the middle of the screen? Or did they finally change this?

Sooo.... I’m missing something, I don’t see that setting at all..
Please delete the mail account and again add it.
Then add a few folders as favorites. Now when you open the Settings>Mail>Notifications, you will find the settings for favorite mailboxes.

Working for me too. I can manage and add devices without any issues. Maybe try rebooting?

Thanks. I've rebooted three times, all to no avail. Pretty wild. I simply cannot get into the bluetooth settings menu. At all.

Bar on IPX is very different to this one, even if it wasn’t a bug, it would be changed as it looks bad. Also looks identical to phone bars without signal, and in same position.

Not a fan, seems like an extra step

(Sorry, quoted the wrong one... Question was Why is photo library not attached to camera choice in iMessage) I assume this has been done because of Restrictions setting. If the camera restriction is on (some businesses require this) you can't select and paste a photo library photo into iMessage directly. This way, they appear to be separate choices.

Anyone tested Pokémon Go? Got an EX raid pass for Wednesday so don’t want to install if the app doesn’t work with it.

Not sure if this was answered but it crashes at the end of the loading screen for me. Would be good to know if just me though!

I don’t understand how to read those graphs ...

The key one is the graph at the top right. The blue shaded area is where I was charging. You can see how flat the battery depletion line is after I took it off the power. For a beta 1 12 hours after installation, that’s really low power consumption.

I don’t understand how to read those graphs ...

The horizontal axis is time with each grid representing a 3 hour block. The top part shows the battery level while the bottom is device usage. The blue shading is time that the device is being charged. For the bottom bar charts, that shows usage with each color representing whether the usage was while the screen was on or in the background.

Ok, as a general observation I have to add to the chorus that this is easily the fastest and most stable beta I’ve ever used, especially for a v.1.

Biggest problem I’ve encountered though is that the GPS is wonky. Very inaccurate, in both GMaps and Waze.
