I see people all over Twitter raving about the new Books app. I don’t get the big deal over it. Yes I’m glad they re-did the store so it’s more like the App Store vs just a list of the top selling books. But the large serif font headings are a bit jarring considering they don’t exist anywhere else in iOS. As far as bringing skeuomorphism back all they did was add a spine to the book cover artwork to give the appearance of a hard cover book. Big deal. The worst though was someone said the wooden bookshelf needs to come back. Nooo...

I had it on the other day, but turned it off. Checked it again after seeing your post, just in case, and it was still off. Switched it back on then off and now the clock is gone. Leads me to believe it was a bug with bedtime.

Weather App has new Thunderstorm animation where screen will flash bright white after lightning animation.

I have not seen white blinding screen flash animation in previous iOS versions. Looks cool btw.

Telegram X works like a champ. Original Telegram app has a cosmetic bug on top near status bar.

I don’t use skype, but from what other member already said here, skype keep crashing. Cmiiw

The iPad and the iPhone must share the weather app somehow.

I don’t have Apple Weather on my iPad yet this morning I was greeted with this.

I do have weather pro but as far as I’m aware you need Apple Weather and the weather symbol on the lock screen is an Apple weather one.

Regarding pandora as has been mentioned it doesn’t seem to work using WiFi. I turned off my WiFi connection and it then works fine. But amazingly enough while it’s playing I can turn the WiFi back on and it seems to work fine. If I stop it it won’t restart on WiFi. Just don’t stop it and it continues on the WiFi. Not sure if anyone would find this info helpful but maybe pandora users.

My GPS seems pretty stable as usual,
using google maps.

In case people didn’t understand the new battery screen.

If you tap on one of the bars it will show you the app usage in that particular timeframe.

So out of the 18 mins screen on time you can see what I used listed below.

Not so detailed for day views but you can see that on a heavy use day for me I got 4.5hrs on screen. The screen off usage is mostly the personal hotspot. Not sure why that doesn’t show a time in the list anymore.

But selecting individual days is also good.

This should definitely help track rogue apps.

I think weather is a system service of sorts in iOS (and tvOS) to enable Siri to give you weather information wherever you are. If you ask for weather on appletv you suddenly get a forecast widget which isn’t accessible anywhere else.

iOS 11 had already included the weather app´s widget. Said to hear that the original app didn’t make it into the iPad iOS again.
