DND Bedtime mode with always location for Weather to show the widget in the morning
There are a few posts contradicting that you need it set to “always.” A few are getting the weather in the morning and have it set to “only while using,” hence the question I asked.

Those of you that have the weather displayed when you wake up after DND, do you have the weather widget added to your widget screen?

It seems that may be what’s needed based on the posts in this thread.

Thanks in advance.

I believe that’s always been the case.

No I use Weather Pro for my weather widget.

I have Apple weather installed and set to ‘while using’ for location.

Pandora working fine here on X, both with WiFi and cellular at the same time and with cellular turned off. Haven’t tried listening to a whole song, but it worked just fine for parts of songs and skipping songs also worked fine.

I believe it is running from the buffer. You have to play several songs to determine if it is working with wifi only. Mine was running from that buffer and stops after about 3-4 songs, sometimes less, after turning of cellular and being connected to wifi. If you are lucky, maybe your Iphone X does not suffer from this problem. This issue first appeared with IOS 11.4.1 beta 1.

To all, I wonder if this is an Apple, or a Pandora fix?
[doublepost=1528603844][/doublepost]I do not know much about how IOS handles memory management compared to Android's LMK, (Low Memory Killer) but I notice that when I play music on Spotify, that sometimes it stops an I have to relaunch the app an choose my music again, as if the app has been killed. Of course the screen has gone off, so it may be due to the device going to sleep, not sure. Normally, on older versions of IOS, even beta, music continues to play, until I pause it. Another reason is that this unoptimized, beta version is dropping wifi, but that would not explain why I have to relaunch the app.

If someone has more knowledge of how IOS handles all of this, it would be appreciated.

And yes, I know I took a risk, using beta 1, the first time I did not wait for beta 2, but I would appreciate any clarification of this issue.

Furthermore, it is my understanding that if I download the IPSW file for 11.4 final and install it, I can revert to an older version of IOS, without loosing data or settings? I do notice there are several IPSW files for 11.4, for my Iphone 6 when I searched, showing the prerequisites as older, Several different, versions of IOS.

I know, I shoud have waited for beta 2, as I have always done in the past, but the enticement of IOS 12, made me loose my normal, sane, attitude. Can anyone tell me which one I should download, for my Iphone 6?

Thanks

That makes sense. I’ll probably test it out tomorrow and see what happens.

Despite restoring from iTunes with the ipsw downloaded from my Dev acct and resetting location and privacy the GPS is still out on Runkeeper.

I’ve blanked out some bits for privacy. The Suunto is correct.

My battery went from 33% to 16% on my iPad with no use and no apps running in the background. :(

I’ve certainly noticed a huge battery drain on both the iPhone and iPad. I suspect Location Services has something to do with it as there is a constant arrow up in the status bar. I played around with the settings yesterday but it mad little difference, so today I’m off into work with Location Services disabled and a power cord to be on the safe side...

I’ve been noticing this little alarm clock on my screen...any idea why it’s there when I have no alarms set? Could it be related to Screen Time?

It’s a bug ... tap on any alarm to turn it on and then tap it again to turn it off and it will disappear ! Your welcome !
[doublepost=1528621451][/doublepost]
It also appears when bedtime is turned on
I don’t use screen time or bedtime because I have to read all these posts ( no time for sleep lol ) and the bug exists with alarms as well
[doublepost=1528622194][/doublepost]For all those asking about battery ...

For the last time after doing an update turn on low power mode for the first day as lots of things are going on in the background that will eat up battery. When you get home and go to bed put it on charge and it will do it’s housekeeping and charge your iPhone and the battery will be back to as good as it can be for a beta from then on.

On betas logs are enabled and this will reduce battery so no point comparing non beta with any beta and reporting difference. I am happy with battery on all betas been running em for years and this is the best beta 1 ever but if you need more battery use low power mode everyday !

Are there bugs ? Yes it’s a a beta but nothing really bad in my opinion !

For a first beta of a major release, I am impressed with how good this is. My 6S Plus has been great on it, albeit, only a day so far. I have no app's I use regularly that do not work, my banking app's all work which are normally the first ones to stop with a beta firmware. All in all for me it is superb. This is on my daily driver too. Very good.

Cannot believe there is still no way to quote iMessages, at least in group chats I mean have they ever been in a group chat? How am I supposed to answer a question from 50 messages ago without confusing everyone

Also, bug with 3D Touch on Clock widget in CC. Doesn’t display correct time when sliding timer bars.

I had this too so I went to clock app and started a timer and stopped it. When I returned to 3D touch on clock widget in CC it now works properly

For those wondering how to get the weather widget to show up on lock screen using DND (Do Not Disturb) with bedtime, you must have a Scheduled DND in order for it to work. It only works inside a SCHEDULED DND. In other words, you can’t just turn on DND and expect it to work. I have mine scheduled to activate between midnight and 6:45am and it works every time. I’ve tested both just having DND on and with the added options when 3D touching the CC toggle and it only works when you set up a scheduled time.

I have some issues to send SMS to some people. the SMS does not go.

Iphone 7 / iOS Beta / Free Mobile network in France

Does anyone know how I can “hide” apps that I have downloaded from my App Store purchases? You used to be able to open App Store then go to ‘account’, ‘purchases’ and then swiping left to easily hide. There is no longer the option to slide left and I have no way of hiding apps. Anyone have any ideas? Or is this a bug? Thanks

Not sure if this has been posted but when I end a call, I can’t close out the phone app. I have to reboot the phone.

The iPad and the iPhone must share the weather app somehow.

I don’t have Apple Weather on my iPad yet this morning I was greeted with this.

I do have weather pro but as far as I’m aware you need Apple Weather and the weather symbol on the lock screen is an Apple weather one.

iOS 11 had already included the weather app´s widget. Said to hear that the original app didn’t make it into the iPad iOS again.

Yeah, the basic frameworks for the Weather app are in the iPad somewhere, as it has access to the weather widget and Siri can get the weather for you. I hope it’ll be one of the next iPhone apps to make it to the iPad via Marzipan. I’d use it!

I’d like to see weather on the iPad, too. Never understood omitting it.

Marzipan won’t be the source, though. That’s for more easily porting apps between iOS and MacOS.

Ah, really? I guess I got confused over the fact that two of the “new on macOS” apps were also on the iPad for the first time. Either way, Apple should definitely bring all the missing apps to the iPad! I agree that it doesn’t make sense leaving it out, especially since weather data now shows up in so many other places these days.

Hi everyone,

I've installed iOS 12.0 dev beta 1 on my iPhone 7 Plus and seems like Apple somehow managed to bring Samsung AMOLED display burnout technology to the IPS display of 7 Plus.

In other words, my display feels like it's exposure level is set to +1, adding more light, but giving up on contrast and saturation.

Has anyone experienced the same problem with their iPhone displays on iOS 12?
