So far it's awesome for me. I do miss the old battery info where you knew how long your battery had actually lasted that day.

Lovely new bug, google search results are truncated so the rest of my screen is just blank.
[doublepost=1528683352][/doublepost]Well, I just searched something else and it was just fine. Maybe it’s a lack of results? But surely there’d be more results than what shows for “iOS 12”...

There are a few posts contradicting that you need it set to “always.” A few are getting the weather in the morning and have it set to “only while using,” hence the question I asked.
Ever since I set the weather to always in location services it’s showed up on the DND lock screen ... on my 6s plus ... great feature btw...

I have found FaceID is unlocking my apps (like 1password) faster. Enjoying this beta so far.

Very fast on iPhone 7. No lag so far
it's my one week on iOS 12 on ip7. Entire UI has been very smooth and fluid but there are bugs;
1. Call screen, IVR dial pad doesn't respond.
2. SMS to non iphone users not working for outgoing. Incoming SMSs are fine without any issue.

I have to say...very surprising performance for a beta 1. Have not found anything not working yet except for some known apps like skype. Very surprising given what we have seen with beta 1's in the past.
1. Phone app doesn't respond in IVR mode key in
2. SMS to non iphone users broken for out going while incoming are fine.

can someone else test after receiving a text message from a non iPhone user and then try sending a picture it fails every time for me .. doesn't matter if its WiFi or cell service

1. I have also noticed SMS to non-iphone not going thru while incoming msgs are fine.
2. while on Call, dial pad doesn't work. IVRS key in not recognized.

Yep same here SMS not going through on idevice like Android in Australia.
Maps on my carplay is buggy too. Half of the maps is not showing today when I went for a 2hr drive today with family! The rest is iOS 12 beta is smooth and fast. iPhone X

dev beta 2 expected for today?

Usually it's Tuesday's, but I wouldn't hold your breathe, as apple has said to be working more towards stable reliable releases. I bank on 2 week intervals. Rather be surprised anyways, if some do happen at 1 week timing. :)

I hope so, the GPS doesn’t lock in all the time. But unfortunately it’ll probably drop next week. :(

GPS is definitely wonky for some apps.
Also, some iMessage/SMS iPhone to android issues I'm having. Luckily, mine is just dumb emoji's not displaying the same.
'thumbs up' (android) show up as ? w/ box around it 3x's, in iMessages for me. At first had problems sending photos, but toggling airplane mode helped then.
Update, still can't come soon enough, haha.

biggest issue I have had is GPS and some oddities here and there, but besides that its a solid first beta of iOS 12.

Even the Apple Maps can’t get the gps correctly. :(

On iPad you can invoke control center by swiping left from any part of the right edge of the screen then down.

Can’t replicate it here. iPad Pro 10.5.

Swiping down from the upper right corner works well and quite smoothly, but what you did in your video doesn’t work for me.

By the way, I’m unable to *consistently* bring up de app switching interface, I can’t remember its name.

Double clicking the home button is still working, but swiping up from the bottom of the screen is really, really hit and miss with it.

Swipe up a little, same as pressing home. Ok, awesome.

Swipe up more and an app card starts appearing from the left side. But there is an 80% chance that the task switcher won’t appear.

has anyone run into a weird bug that causes the app icons on the home screen to flicker constantly after unlocking the screen?

Interesting, I can’t do it anymore either. Must have been a bug. I actually liked it.

I have. This has been happening more and more lately to me but it still seems to be random on when the home screen will flicker after unlocking

I'm pretty impressed. Runs remarkably well on my new iPhone X.

Are the differences stark between iOS 11 and 12? In other words, did Apple deliver on the performance capabilities touted in the keynote? It may not be 50% faster since it's the X, but still?

In my opinion (without running benchmark tests), I'd say yes.

Hmm, I may have to give iOS 12 a chance on my iPad down the road. I am curious to see how the benchmarks work on an iPhone, especially with an A11 chip?

I was really critical on iOS 12 since it just felt like Snow Leopard for iOS.

Even on a 7+ I wouldn't say I find it noticeably faster (it may well be, but it's not something I would be able to discern without a side by side). What it is smoother and more consistent in a very pleasing way that had been missing for a number of years. It's a very promising start indeed.

I can it’s definitely not slower on my 6s. It’s probably faster and it sure seems smoother all around. So far, very impressed with 12
