1. I have also noticed SMS to non-iphone not going thru while incoming msgs are fine.
2. while on Call, dial pad doesn't work. IVRS key in not recognized.

Do you have Sprint as your carrier ?? this seems to be the common theme with others having the same issue.. beta 2 hopefully fixes this issue... What about your voicemail are you having issue with that also ??

Anyone else experiencing issues with some websites in Safari on iPhone X - iOS 12 Beta 1? Some websites visited glitch out and jump around menus a lot.

Are the differences stark between iOS 11 and 12? In other words, did Apple deliver on the performance capabilities touted in the keynote? It may not be 50% faster since it's the X, but still?

It was definitely better on the 6+. But then again, halving wait times for Siri, keyboard, and app launches isn't so great when they were excessively long to begin with.

Siri takes more than 20 seconds to be ready to answer a question. Keyboards took 5-6 seconds to appear, and then didn't respond to keystrokes until 3-4 seconds after you started typing.

This was on iOS 11. You can see that cutting times in half is better, but not good enough.

Note: this was with a new battery and a non-throtted CPU.

I installed the beta yesterday afternoon, all what i do Surf my pages and text and make calls seem too be good!

I did try my Waze/gps,i read some of ya’ll had issues....All good for me as well....

Seems pretty smooth for 1st beta!

I did notice that Pandora and Pandora app in my Honda Civic 14' was not playing after a bit, i turned off my BT and turned back on... Switched to Spotify!

Only so much you can do with the hardware limitations nevertheless. 1gb RAM, an A8 processor, and older internals. Good to see you're noticing improvements; however, it's not going to be by much when things were rough to begin with.

If I go with another iPhone this fall, I am going to use it 2-3 years tops. I hope that Apple builds on this and releases good updates down the road since I do not want to be plagued with throttling or other rough instances.

Can’t replicate it here. iPad Pro 10.5.

Swiping down from the upper right corner works well and quite smoothly, but what you did in your video doesn’t work for me.

By the way, I’m unable to *consistently* bring up de app switching interface, I can’t remember its name.

Double clicking the home button is still working, but swiping up from the bottom of the screen is really, really hit and miss with it.

Swipe up a little, same as pressing home. Ok, awesome.

Swipe up more and an app card starts appearing from the left side. But there is an 80% chance that the task switcher won’t appear.
Re: app switcher, swipe up from bottom until you see another app show up to the left of your current app and let go - do not continue the upward swipe motion before letting go - you should enter the app switcher. If you continue swiping up you'll see the home screen

Anyone else experiencing the horrible GPS in the iPhone X? Maps are almost useless, and that's ANY of them. Google, Waze, Apple Maps, even Snapchat map is messed up. Takes forever to find a location, and when moving, it's filled with pauses and stops, and misaligned. Want to see if it's just me, or others before I post this as a bug.

No, everything ok.

Thanks a lot.

It seems to me that, at least on iPad Pro:

- Swiping up half an inch and hold = show dock

- Swiping up to the middle of the screen and hold = app switcher

- Swiping up with no holding = home

By the way, I’ve got problems with Microsoft Office Lens (won’t start at all) and Evernote (keyboard lags a lot)

Lots of people have GPS issues with this release. Please do report it as a bug

was the offload unused apps feature removed? cant see it when i go to settings -> general -> iphone storage

Go to settings , tap your name for your iCloud account. Go to iTunes & App Store. Just moved !

Yeah i did see it there but it used to give you a list of apps that hadn't been used in a while and would give you the option to delete but keep data

Not just you. I’m having this issue as are a lot of others. There’s a whole thread here in the iOS 12 forum about these issues. Might want to check that out, as some are posting possible solutions.

Is anyone else having issues swiping left to ‘hide’ purchased apps in the App Store? Once in the App Store click your profile photo, click account, and click ‘purchased’. Wondering if this is a bug as it used to work fine on iOS 11?

Post it. I've had GPS errors. Nothing too bad, but worse than before - went from zero issues with iOS 11 to something other than zero in iOS 12. We are only talking about a couple times in a week.

i just noticed something i was on the phone over BT in my Honda Civic while i hung-up my car was asking to allow or ignore the built in Pandora app in my car to connect to my phone,i chose Allow then hung up the phone call on the phone itself... I just looked at my apps that are open and it shows my call "ended" will not let me swipe it up to close it...
sorry for the long story!

anyone seen this happen to them?
