Anyone having problems with 3rd party keyboard ( Google ) when you open Safari it goes back to default apple keyboard instead of Google as I set it default.

Anyone else experiencing the horrible GPS in the iPhone X? Maps are almost useless, and that's ANY of them. Google, Waze, Apple Maps, even Snapchat map is messed up. Takes forever to find a location, and when moving, it's filled with pauses and stops, and misaligned. Want to see if it's just me, or others before I post this as a bug.

Yes same here as I mentioned it already here. Carplay is crazy when maps is opened. Hopefully beta 2 fixes it

As said before, DFU from IPSW as new and restore from backup.

I noticed a feature I don’t think was in iOS 11: in Maps on CarPlay you now have the option to type in your destination using an on screen keyboard (the car’s screen, not the phone’s). Obvious only when not moving.

I usually set a timer at night to stop playing Pandora after xx minutes. With iOS12 when I go into the timer and try and change the chime to Stop Playing, it reverts back to the alert chime (doesn't show Stop Playing on the top right status on the timer page).

Music will stop playing if you open a Tapatalk forum. Don’t know if this was after Tapatalk last update a few days ago.

Something new on this beta I wasn't experiencing before but I think some others may have mentioned a similar issue when updating apps in the app store. Yesterday it just sat there spinning for several minutes til I gave up and then finally this morning after several more minutes of trying 2 apps finally were able to complete their update. I may wait for another beta update before attempting any more app updates. Apparently the app is un-open-able and un-usable while it is stuck in update mode. I shall be cautious next time.

Yeah... GPS takes a long time to lock position closer than 30 meters for me, but usually does in about 1-2 minutes if I sit still until it locks. If I start driving before it locks it takes much longer. I am sure others have submitted bug reports on it but I went ahead and did one myself.

Using Google Maps I get an immediate lock. I have not tried it for navigating yet but moving around my property it follows me perfectly. FWIW, Google Maps was recently updated, maybe that helped. Happy it is working fine after all I'm hearing here.

Where do you search from? Sounds fantastic.

1. Select the Search tab in the Apple Music app
2. Tap the search box and tap Apple Music right below it
2. Enter lyrics of a song (one where the lyrics are already provided by Apple Music)
4. Tap search on the keyboard and scroll down to the Songs section

You may have to tap See All as in a few cases of my own the songs listed initially may not be the one you are looking for.

For me, the apps loading circle spins making it seem they aren’t a downloading but they are in the background

Is there a place to see the legacy battery information about usage? Usage and Standby time? I can only see "screen on time" and "screen off time"..doesn't really give the same sense of battery capability.
and, well yeah, on my 8plus I'm getting about half as much battery life.

Post how that goes. My Series 0 (gen 1) is running out of juice by 4 or 5 pm daily now. If that continues, I’ll have to stop using it.
After doing the Unpair/Pair, it seems like it's better. After 12 hours, my S3 is down to 66%, which is not quite back to normal, but is still much better than the 40% I had a few days ago.

I have an interesting question regarding force quitting apps on iOS 12.

Many people talk about that subject only in a matter of if it makes their battery last longer or not, but how about the risk of losing valuable information not yet saved by the app?

Compared to a macOS and/or Windows system I have always believed that when you force quit the application there’s a risk that there are information not yet saved to the harddrive that can be lost. That’s why we always use force quit as a last resort and instead firstly try to quit the application ”normal”.

With iOS, things are different in the way of ”normal” quitting an app. I always thought that just ”leaving” the app is the way to ”normal” quit and that Apple—by implementing a second step to force quit apps with iPhone X (iOS 11)—wanted to stress that out so less people keep force quitting apps and lose info not yet saved by the app.

Now, in iOS 12, Apple seem to make it easier to force quit apps on iPhone X.

So, is ”force quitting” an app in iOS the same as force quitting an application in macOS and/or Windows or is it really risk free to do so?
