Only bug that's slightly annoyed me is every now and then the cursor will disappear when using text input boxes.
That happens frequently on all the release versions of iOS 11, so not a new annoyance, but still an annoyance.

The beta has been working so well on my iPhone I decided to install on my iPad Pro. Bad idea. Buggy mess. Especially screen time. Had to revert back.

I guess everyone’s results are different, i did the Same and installed on my iPad Pro and have had almost no issues, haven’t checked screen time yet, but will after reading your post...

Regarding pandora as has been mentioned it doesn’t seem to work using WiFi. I turned off my WiFi connection and it then works fine. But amazingly enough while it’s playing I can turn the WiFi back on and it seems to work fine. If I stop it it won’t restart on WiFi. Just don’t stop it and it continues on the WiFi. Not sure if anyone would find this info helpful but maybe pandora users.

My GPS seems pretty stable as usual,
using google maps.

Pandora is working for me, as well. When I first installed the IOS 12 beta I tried Pandora on cellular and it did not seem to work.
For clarification, do you mean if I pause the music, the wifi connection will stop working again, until I turn it off, reconnect to cellular, then turn wifi back on?

Thanks for this tip.

I am testing now by getting it running and turning off cellular in the control center to confirm it is really using wifi.
Pandora does have a buffer so I will let it play for a while to confirm it is using wifi.

After 2-3 songs, it stopped for me, which leads me to believe it was actually playing from the buffer downloaded while still on cellular. Does anybody else have any thoughts?

Funnily, this bug exists on macOS as well, I was pretty lost when I switched apps and came back to MR to what I was typing, and could not find my cursor, and then realised that it was where I left it, only it was visually absent.

So you see the weather and good morning message after your DND turns off? Or when your alarm goes off?

I see mine after I stop the alarm.

My weather is set to ‘while using’.

I have a scheduled DND to end at 0500.

My iPhone alarm goes off at 0530

Background refresh is off.

I do not use the weather widget

So besides some apps not being compatible how is the beta 1 smooth or slow ?

Pausing the music didn’t seem to make any diff for me.
I turned on pandora app, got a voice saying I had no internet connection even tho I did. So I turn off WiFi and then restart pandora and voila! Works fine. Then I can reconnect to WiFi and it continues playing. I skipped ahead thru several songs so it could not have been buffered. Still working fine for me this morning. Just got to turn off WiFi first. A decent work around till the app gets an update.

I tried again and this time it stopped playing after about 4 songs. when I click on the thumbs up feedback icon it states unable to save feedback. At least in my case, on my Iphone 6, it seems to be running on the buffer before and not truely wifi. And it is not showing paused after that, but still running.

Maybe it is not showing up for me yet because I set my alarm on my AW and not on my phone...

Hmmm, bummer then. I'm using an iPhone 7 but shouldn't matter. I'm wondering purely out of curiosity if it is actually staying on cellular network and not wifi at all. Having wifi on should be the default tho. So I dunno. Sorry bud.

Try turning off cellular in the control center, then let it play through several songs to see if it stops for you, eventually. I suspect it is using cellular and the buffer, not wifi.

Your correct. Tested again, it latches onto the cellular signal and when that is turned off leaving only wifi on it will not play after the stored buffer runs out. OK for me since I mainly use it only in the car anyway. If I do use it at home I'll know wifi needs to be off. No biggie, it'll get fixed at some point.

New ‘Lyrics’ option under Repeat/Shuffle buttons I think (don’t remember seeing it in 11.4). Still has it listed under the ‘...’ icon as well but maybe Apple is changing how it’s accessed.

On iPad you can invoke control center by swiping left from any part of the right edge of the screen then down.

Pandora working fine here on X, both with WiFi and cellular at the same time and with cellular turned off. Haven’t tried listening to a whole song, but it worked just fine for parts of songs and skipping songs also worked fine.

I haven't seen this anywhere, so I figured I'd put it. The front facing camera renders images as a mirror reflection...at least with the iPhone X.

Those of you that have the weather displayed when you wake up after DND, do you have the weather widget added to your widget screen?

It seems that may be what’s needed based on the posts in this thread.

Thanks in advance.

I believe that’s always been the case.

DND Bedtime mode with always location for Weather to show the widget in the morning
