I don't want to clutter the thread with anything too off-topic but holy crap the feeling of fluidity, solidity and continuity on a 7+ in this beta is amazing. iOS hasn't felt this solid since iOS 6 imo. I'd almost forgotten how it should be.

Seems about the same as beta 1 on a 7+ to me, which is to say solid 60fps smooth everywhere. Any input blocking I've ever noticed seems gone. I don't know if I've just never noticed this before but apps keep scrolling even when you suspend them. Tried this in Safari and Outlook: -

- Start scrolling a long view
- Quickly hit home to go to springboard
- Hit same app icon to restart
- App is still scrolling, with the position changed and momentum having slowed appropriately for the amount of time

Placebo hyperbole. It is not anywhere as solid as iOS 6. Have you scrolled in the App Store and Music Apps? Still ugly frame drops despite Apple claiming they’d be resolved. It’s still a beta so I hope they fix it by full release but this isn’t the first time they’ve promised on something and haven’t delivered so I have my doubts. It is faster and smoother in some areas, but not a solid 60fps everywhere like everyone is hyping it as.

Was the same on beta1 too. I see the line for USB accessories but I don’t see the toggle. Not sure if anyone has this issue or not.

My App Store scrolling is perfectly smooth. I've just thrown it up and down both gently and quickly and there isn't a single dropped frame or stutter. I have no music in Music so I can't test it.

Consider that your experience may not be everyone's experience. I certainly acknowledge that mine is not necessarily universal.

Stock mail app, I assume?

Gmail notifications are working perfectly here.
Yup, stock with two Exchange accounts configured. Both have the issue.

I have noticed that at times the notifications (all, not just mail) will be there on the lock screen but they do not wake up the display when they come in. Not sure if that is just a new behavior with 12 or a bug.

Apple Music has much more snappy 3D Touch animations and if you 3D Touch loads of songs or albums it doesn't start glitching. You can also 3D Touch the minimised now playing bar at the bottom to get the album details, they removed this in iOS 11 or 10 at some point, when the animations were rejigged.

Declined calls are non-intrusive now and it continues to ring in background and you can use the device when you decline a call and it doesn’t send them to voicemail so they won’t know you declined the call

I could never get proper WiFi calling working my iPhone using my iPod touch

there's now a line under the status icons on the lock screen of my iPad, just like the iPhone X
The white swipe up bar? That is bad news if they aren’t getting rid of that white bar at the bottom of he screen. It is super annoying when playing video with a projector. Can’t turn it off?

So this is my fault for jumping on the beta, but CarPlay is absolutely screwed on b2 with my 2018 Mustang GT running Sync3.

I've had to re-enter my AppleID password about five times in the past three hours (since installing b2 on my iPhone X) ... it's the AppleID I use for the App Store, not my iCloud one.

Is this happening to anyone else?
