I don't want to clutter the thread with anything too off-topic but holy crap the feeling of fluidity, solidity and continuity on a 7+ in this beta is amazing. iOS hasn't felt this solid since iOS 6 imo. I'd almost forgotten how it should be.
Seems about the same as beta 1 on a 7+ to me, which is to say solid 60fps smooth everywhere. Any input blocking I've ever noticed seems gone. I don't know if I've just never noticed this before but apps keep scrolling even when you suspend them. Tried this in Safari and Outlook: -
- Start scrolling a long view
- Quickly hit home to go to springboard
- Hit same app icon to restart
- App is still scrolling, with the position changed and momentum having slowed appropriately for the amount of time
Placebo hyperbole. It is not anywhere as solid as iOS 6. Have you scrolled in the App Store and Music Apps? Still ugly frame drops despite Apple claiming they’d be resolved. It’s still a beta so I hope they fix it by full release but this isn’t the first time they’ve promised on something and haven’t delivered so I have my doubts. It is faster and smoother in some areas, but not a solid 60fps everywhere like everyone is hyping it as.
