Went back to 11.4 to many major issues gps failed for me last night and got lost, homepods dont work with siri and carplay doesn't work right its a shame cos i was loving the speed of beta 2 im gonna wait to beta 3 or public beta and hope they are fixed :)

The HomePod issue has nothing to do with the beta, mine was having problems yesterday and they resolved themselves and I’m still on the beta.

You’re seriously going to keep switching back and forth each beta build?

I think you should just stick to stable builds, you really don’t seem to have the personality to handle beta testing.

Also how did you get lost? You said in another thread you were traveling from work, surely you don’t need GPS for a regular trip like that?

Shame. I’m happy I’m not having any of those issues you and others have mentioned. Luckily I have had a very smooth ride so far.

Siri went back to normal on all devices including Homepod yesterday at around 3PM.
Really must be a server side issue, i think untill the gps issue for me is fixed its not right to have it im sure beta 3 and public beta 1 will fix it tho

I've noticed my typing has significantly improved on this beta. The keyboard is starting to feel like it used to before they borked it.

I assume everybody is leaving feedback for Apple regarding these Siri issues? ;)

Well, I‘ve stopped reporting bugs to Apple. They all just got closed as duplicated, and I also find that’s up to Apple to test their stuff before releasing it. They should not release betas at all. They have enough money to employ people to do this, or they should at least pay us for reporting bugs. Instead we keep giving a free service to a multi billion company.

dan9700, you should now by now that it's illegal to complain about beta's on these forums ;-)

You can tell something isn't working, but don't you dare to complain! The beta police will have your a$$!

Because complaining and whining on a forum solves what exactly? Apple isn’t reading these forums. Using the feedback app is the best way to resolve issues.

Honest question, why do you hang around these beta threads if you think they're useless?

Is anyone having issues in notification center with mail notifications? When I get a grouped batch of notifications and expand them and 3D touch to trash one all other emails disappear from the notification shade.

One of my iMessage conversations keeps disappearing. It’ll show up if I tap a new message notification or if I search for it, but after closing out the app it disappears.

Haven’t seen this posted yet.

I just purchased a 442MB game in the AppStore and it downloaded over LTE. Didn’t get the usual earring it’s too big and will download when on Wi-Fi.

Isn't there a setting to allow that option which gives the user the choice of either methods? In which case yur setting may have changed? Or maybe I'm thinking of android

Even back in iOS 11 I would get an alert saying the download was too big and that it would resume when connected to wifi (mostly with updating Facebook) then it would go ahead and update anyway. Maybe this restriction has been removed.

If I recall correctly (and @gwhizkids tends to have a photographic memory for details like these) this download restriction was temporality removed or broken during last years beta period. It came back on or before the public release though.

My App Store scrolling is perfectly smooth. I've just thrown it up and down both gently and quickly and there isn't a single dropped frame or stutter. I have no music in Music so I can't test it.

Consider that your experience may not be everyone's experience. I certainly acknowledge that mine is not necessarily universal.

FWIW, my iPhone 4 running iOS 5.0.1 drops frames when in Music, ditto my iPad 2 on iOS 6.1.3. The past isn't quite as rosy as one remembers (although app launch animations are always smooth on older versions of iOS...)

Hey, just would like to give some feedback after aprox 24 hrs running iOS 12 beta 2 on my iPhone X.
Everything I was worried about not running is running perfectly ! AirPods, Bluetooth, no haptic at facelog, great battery life, iMessage working etc etc so .I just don’t find any bugs that would bother me in my normal usage so far :)

Cheers.
Molly

I think people talking about bugs and helping others with workarounds is useful.

People complaining that beta software is buggy and then whining they have to downgrade back to a stable OS and then the very next beta build is released and they upgrade to that and then whine there's other bugs and then do the same for the next build and the next is less useful.
