Well, I‘ve stopped reporting bugs to Apple. They all just got closed as duplicated, and I also find that’s up to Apple to test their stuff before releasing it. They should not release betas at all. They have enough money to employ people to do this, or they should at least pay us for reporting bugs. Instead we keep giving a free service to a multi billion company.
But then how would you use a beta if they weren't being released? (And you do realize that with the increasing number of devices and combinations of all kinds of things there's pretty much no way to really test plenty of combinations in-house.)

FWIW, my iPhone 4 running iOS 5.0.1 drops frames when in Music, ditto my iPad 2 on iOS 6.1.3. The past isn't quite as rosy as one remembers (although app launch animations are always smooth on older versions of iOS...)

Totally agree. Those versions were not the panacea people like to say they were. They weren't perfect and not tuned for all devices.

For me though when they did work properly, they had some (really difficult to define and quantify) feeling of physicality that I never felt was present after iOS 6. Some feeling that the thing you were moving on the screen was an actual thing that existed and was still there, even when you weren't looking at it. The smoothness of iOS 12 and that thing I noted where you can scroll, go home, re-open the app and see that the scrolling is still happening and deccelerated at the correct speed, gave me back some of that feeling. Maybe it just little things like removing input blocking, keeping the framerate smooth etc. but they all add up into something I think feels different. I don't know if that makes any sense to anyone other than me

It's not just exchange. I have set up (in the stock Apple Mail.app) an Exchange account and a Gmail account. Both give me notifications only intermitently; sometimes they work sometimes they dont. Often they come in bunches, which means the Exchange Push isn't working properly, as emails should come one by one as they are received. If you open Mail or Calendar app, it forces a pull and I typically get a whole bunch of email notifications right away.

This was true on b1. Only installed b2 today so still trying to figure out but I don't think there's been a change.

Ive had this exact issue through B1 and in to B2 as well. still cant seem to find a setting combo to get it fixed, thankfully i was able to get the outlook app set up (the dumpster fire that app is..ugh!!)

Found out while biking...
AirPods work but Siri does not answer my setting of double tap on the left pod...
iOS 12 beta 2 on my iPhone 8.

You've probably already done this, but if not, check to make sure the setting for the left AirPod is for Siri. Settings>Bluetooth>[your AirPod name]>tap the little "i" in a circle [while your AirPods are connected] and the AirPods menu opens up, including the individual controls for left and right.

Interesting CarPlay issue: it disconnects completely (Carplay and Bluetooth) when I put my car in Reverse. Going back to Drive does nothing; I have to unplug and plug in my device again.

Mine disconnects randomly with the cable connected! I sure hope beta 3 fixes this and beta 3 comes next week! :)

I know dream on, have to wait 2 weeks for beta 3. :(

I really want to test this beta. Is it really good compare to iOS 11.4 ?
That's a tough one. While it is very solid for me even accepting a few slight annoyances like frame rate drops when scrolling long lists, long GPS lock times, etc., I most likely don't use all the same things you do or have the same expectations.

I'd say if you are super picky, wait. There are bugs and who knows what else they'll break when they release beta 3. If you can accept that it is a beta, do a full backup of your device now and roll the dice. That way you can go back if it becomes unbearable for you.

Screen Time won’t open on my 6s on beta 2, even after a restart. It crashes Settings. Worked fine on beta 1. I submitted feedback with a screen recording.

Update: I reset all settings, but I’m still having the same issue.
Odd. beta 2 fixed my screen time issues.

Search in settings app wasnt working in beta 1 at all. They’ve fixed it in beta 2. But it works differently from previous ios versions. Search now gives detailed results. Try to search an application name and you will see what I mean.

I just realized something, and this has probably been mentioned. But the space bar-trackpad feature might confirm the budget iPhone 11 without 3D Touch. If it’s not going to have 3D Touch, that’s why they included this other method for the trackpad.

Workaround to sign in to Twitter :

Download the Periscope app, open it, and use the “Login with Twitter” button. It should load the login view in the Twitter app once you do that. This only works for one account (you won’t be able to add more), but it’s a workaround you can use for the time being.

If you’re auto logged into periscope, sign out then launch app again & click sign into twitter.

Worked fine with one account thanks. But how do you sign in with multiple account tho?
