Any beta 4 users starting to have some serious hiccups suddenly? Freeze ups and re springs constantly, even after a hard reset.

I know it’s a beta, but I’m curious if anyone else was running smooth at first, and now the freezes.

iPhone X on beta 4.

When Apple gonna let us lock folders in files app like come on we can out passwords to notes

Hello,

I updated my WhatsApp to version 2.18.80 and went to test it on the locked screen using Siri, and I saw that there is a security hole, where on the screen blocked using Siri, you can send message via WhatsApp to anyone. needs to be corrected as soon as possible.

In all seriousness: don’t tell us, tell Apple and Facebook.

Running smooth on my X. No major problems. Battery life is 1 or 2 hours less than normal, but still reliably enough to get me through the day.

Yes. Crashes, missing notifications, freeze ups sometimes requiring hard reset. Messages app all screwed up. Last Beta almost felt production ready, this one not so much at all.

iPhone X

iPhone X here.

Don’t want to tempt fate but noticed first prob from today with this beta.

Just can’t buy anything from App Store. Recognised by Face ID but hangs & then days a problem , please try later.

Anyone else having this ?

I bought my iPhone X right when it first came out, and received it early November. Now running iOS 12 Beta 4. According to Apple’s Battery Health feature, my battery’s health has dropped steadily, and is now at 94%. That seems like a substantial drop for less than a year. Any thoughts on if it’s an issue with the battery, my care of the battery, or just the Beta status of the Battery Heath feature? Thanks

Mine is at 92%, it could be the beta, but I think it's either a bad battery or simply just the way I've used it (temperature/charge cycles). I bought mine on launch day as well. Not too worried about it since I upgrade every year.

Ok so I’m getting a replacement X tomorrow due to a damaged screen. My current device is registered against a Dev account so I’m currently on the latest iOS 12 Beta.

I plan to get the new decided added to the Dev account but I want to restore my current backup (made on iOS 12) onto the new phone which will be iOS 11 out of the box.

What’s the best at to go about this?

Thanks

Setup the new phone as new so it can activate on your carrier. Then, update the phone to iOS12. After the update, restore your backup.

I wouldn’t be too concerned until we get the official iOS 12 in September. Some of the power management tweaks being tested in these betas might be affecting the accuracy of the battery health figure. My X dropped from 100 to 96 since installing iOS 12 public beta 1. It doesn’t seem plausible to me that that’s accurate. So I’ll reserve judgment until September.

This is my first time using ios 12 Beta on an iphone (8+). WOW what a complete clusterf***!! The ios 11 beta’s were so much more stable and refined. I think i’ll have to downgrade.

Beta 4 has been a complete disaster. People knock iOS 11 but I never had this many issues or bugs in any iOS 11 beta.
