iOS 12 Beta 5 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

I am on T-Mobile and been running the beta since the beginning of ios 12.The only thing i have noticed is when call does fail and try to call back it does not work,i end up closing the phone app and open and can call back ok...I have also noticed sometimes “no service” when i should have service,just turn on Airplane on and then off and all is good...Hope that helps some!

Would love to jump back on the beta because my battery life has suffered going back to iOS 11 on my 7 plus, but I remember the early public betas were hard to use because I have no service where I work and rely on the wifi calling.

I had that issue in beta 4-5 on Intel iPhone either "No Service" or "Invalid SIM" in beginning after installing the update but I haven't had it since then.

Up until this beta, I had not had a single restring. While this is still a lot quicker than iOS 11, Beta 5 has crashed (resprang;) three times today. No big deal as this is the point of the Beta, but sharing the info.

In the Podcast settings, there used to be a Remote Controls section with a toggle to "Skip Instead of Next/Previous" but replaced with Headphone and Car with options to either Next/Previous or Skip Forward/Back

In the Share Sheet, "Copy Link" changes to "Copy iCloud Link"

My mom has been complaining about bad battery life on her 6s on 11.4.1. Is this beta stable enough on older devices? She doesn’t know anything technical about phones.
 
Man this is the first time I am having a respring on iOS 12 beta. Why does it feel that the betas are regressing with every passing build number?

Imagine if iOS 12 final version is exactly as slow/as buggy as iOS 11 !! The horrors!! Hehe

Podcast showing on lock screen audio controls is not the currently playing podcast, it’s the one I started and stopped yesterday. (reported via Feedback)
 
Is it possible to restore iPhone and restore from backup with iTunes (on Windows) v12.8.0.150 ?
With beta 4 iTunes didn't recognize the ipsw.

Working great on my 6s but battery life is crap when actually using the device (standby is fine). So I wouldn't install on hers if her complaint is regarding battery life. I don't think B5 will help at all in that regard.

I've had every beta of iOS 12, and on this current beta 5, I've had three resprings. yikes. Two of them while changing wallpaper. I don't know man, no beta has felt as speedy as beta 1 and 2, at least not for me on the iPhone X, now it's ok but it's definitely not to the speed of past betas of iOS 12, really hoping they get the speed back.
 
I am not sure if anyone else can test this but since updating to latest PB (12) my iPhone 8 Plus is not recognizing image files from my SD cards (RAW and JPEG - separate cards) using the Lightning to SD adapter.

I have been using this method for years and never had this issues. I can see the files on my camera. They are in supported Uncompressed RAW format.. the only thing that has changed is iOS 12 PB version.

A good amount of people, including myself, are seeing resprings only in the messages app when either typing or hitting send. Not sure if this is where you are experiencing the resprings?
 
I just tested on IPP and iPhone 8 Plus running iOS 12 PB and neither recognized the image files.

I tested on iPhone X running current iOS 11 and it recognized the image files.

I have submitted a bug report.

My wifi speed tests download are 50mps down , this happening to anybody could be app bug or my router
