1 day in: seems to be better (connects more reliably).

I had a failure to connect this morning. Had to do the car off, door open, door close, wait, car on dance. I don't think it's iOS though. Everything was working perfectly until I updated Sync :(

I am using Stock mail app.
I configured the mail account after updating to beta 5, not earlier.
Hmm I would check the advanced settings and see if something is amiss there. Also maybe download the outlook app and see if it works ok. Could be your area is having temporary issues.

This just doesn't seem like it should be so hard. But I suppose it is, especially with so many different infotainment systems to support. At GM, there are several different versions alone.

You would think so. I've found it difficult to scrape up good information on the Carplay protocol though. The APIs for making apps are easy to find, but the actual wire protocol, not so much (unless anyone knows better?). It was only recently when we had the debacle with GPS I even learned that the vehicle can "lend" the GPS and issues "started", "stopped" and "moving above a certain speed" hints back to the device, even if GPS isn't available.

In any case, I can't say I'm surprised that manufacturers aren't getting this right. The only infotainment system I ever had that I didn't hate was BMW iDrive and even then I didn't love it.

Guys are you facing with imessage activating problem? I cannot activate my imessage and facetime?

This happened to me only on my iPhone, not on my iPad. I had to soft reset my iPhone twice and toggle the iMessage switch couple times before it was finally activated. I also got the "your number is being used for iMessage and FaceTime" message on all of my iOS and macOS devices. iMessage and FaceTime are now working just fine.

On a separate note, Messages app on my iPhone shows "Contacts & SMS" and "Junk" whereas on my iPad it shows "Contacts & SMS" and "Unknown Senders." There was also about a 200 MB difference between the iPhone version of the latest Beta update and the iPad version of the latest Beta update. Go figure.

Good comment lol Never knew complaining was a good comment. Anyways he always complain about bugs in iOS and MacOs instead of complaining he could take the time to report it in the feedback app

He has really made an effort to change his past posting practices...and it shows. As far as I know, he does report bugs.

There are always going to be people expressing issues with the OS here, because, frankly, who goes to a forum to post about how flawlessly their system is running? There are those who take it too far, though. That’s what the mute button is for. In this case, though, Dan has made an effort to be a constructive member of the forum and we should give him credit for that.

Sadly same for me. Ugh. I'm going through my cell data plan so fast!

Interesting. I have not had any issues with 5Ghz networks. All iOS and macOS devices are on the latest Beta OS.

Try resetting your settings.

This beta is doing wonderfully on my iPhone X and IPad Pro 10.5”

Soft reset(s) here and there also takes care of some random issues.

After turning off do not disturb , weather widget do not show anymore... anybody encountering this problem?

Dramatically improved location finding experience. Took a route just now that I took on Sunday. On Sunday, Maps lost my location over and over. Today: not one hiccup.

Hopefully, not a fluke...

Anyone hop back into a Messages conversation and find themselves greeted by a black screen atop a keyboard? Reported this with the last beta, and appears it wasn’t fixed (yet).

Honestly, the worst part of iOS 12 has been Messages thus far - way buggier than everything else.

When editing a video clip in photos app I get an error saying there was an error saving this video. This has been happening since the first beta and they still haven’t fixed it. Also WiFi is bad on both iPhone X and IPad Air 2. Still hasn’t been fixed. This last 2 betas have been pretty ******.

Seems to me @dan9700 was making a statement not complaining. And how do you know he didn't take the time to report in feedback? Chill dude, its all good. BTW, battery life has been sh*tty while listening to audio in the past few betas. And yep its been reported but I am still saying it here too. ;)

I’ve submitted that issue with the music app draining the battery since beta 1 and nothing. Seems with every beta, Apple is going backwards

Same here, Using Google maps, very accurate now. Was a bit off before.

No shortcuts App :-( ... still, it appears to be a very stable beta. A few bugs but stable.
[doublepost=1533089422][/doublepost]Is it me not noticing earlier, or does the dock on the iPhone X have more rounded edges?

Any in Beta 4 notice the “Alarm” would drop down not notification periodally for hours in,all of sudden stop!

It is never on when it happens..Has anyone notice if beta 5 fixed it?

Anyone on T-Mobile experiencing the dropped calls issue referenced in the release notes? That’s a show stopper for me to upgrade from iOS 11.

I'd love to hear some feedback on this as well from anyone on T-Mobile running the beta. Also, previous betas has issues with showing no service when on wifi and with wifi calling enabled but I haven't seen that mentioned in the forums for a while now.

Would love to jump back on the beta because my battery life has suffered going back to iOS 11 on my 7 plus, but I remember the early public betas were hard to use because I have no service where I work and rely on the wifi calling.

Happened on my iPad. Kept resetting and nothing worked. Couldn't toggle it off. Turned on Airplane Mode and it "activated" right away.
