I hope battery life will be better in GM than previous betas. On my iPad Pro 10.5" and iPhone X battery life has been really bad. On iOS 11 I could do two days on my iPhone X, but now barely one day.

So what exactly constitutes a pickup in screen time?? I did not pickup my phone at all last night till once this morning yet it is showing 12 pickups. I had a few notifications roll in but I never touched the phone till this morning. Just trying to find out how they determine their stats. Seems wonky from the get go here.

Updated from iOS 11.4.1 to iOS 12 GM (16A366) just now and was a bit puzzled where all my photos (around 13.000) had gone. They slowly reappeared - after loading from the cloud.

However, is it just me or is something odd with the order of pics in the Camera roll. Oldest photo from 2013 are now showing as the last. I though the newest would then be at the top, but that is not the case. Anybody can explain what is going on?

New photos taken are added add the end. All photos show correct date and time, but why are they arranged in the wrong order?

So anybody notice screen time and screen on usage times in the battery section don’t seem to match up? Hmmm this doesn’t make sense.
[doublepost=1536803969][/doublepost]You’d think they would be equal? Am I missing something. Just installed today.
So, for the time in the battery section, it's the screen on usage time you did in the last 24h. For example if it was 11am right now, it would show you the usage from 11am yesterday to 11am today (11am just being an example, it could be whatever time you want).
As for the Screen time, it shows you the screen time only from midnight to 23h59 (11:59pm for our american friends). It does not count the usage on the last 24h like in the battery section but gets reset every night at midnight.

Yes I totally understand all of that. Screen time seems to be buggy in its current state. Just lost one pickup somehow!!

Also I really can’t stand the last 24 hours being bled together and having to select each individual bar graph then adding them up from when you were last fully charged to get those stats since time since last fully charged is gone now but oh well.

I agree with you it's still buggy even though it's much better than in the earliest betas of iOS 12.
I did a clean install yesterday when the GM got out, and still, it don't sync properly between my devices, I lost the screen time for yesterday after the Keynote to midnight ...

I would not have thought that the last beta could be the GM

I’m just wondering what a pickup is. One would think it’s when you pick up your phone and unlock it right?? But maybe it also includes notifications somehow?

I only picked up my phone at just after 7 once this morning and somehow it recorded 12 pickups overnight when I didn’t touch my phone then it magically took one away! Probably buggy. Just would like it to be accurate.

I think that touching the screen to see the time is counted like a pickup. ("touch to wake")

Just did the test, it had 48 pickups when I put my phone on the table, far enough not to unlock itself with FaceID, woke the screen with "touch to wake", left the screen to turn off and then I picked up the phone, went to screen time and saw there were 50 pickups now.

I use an iPhone 7 (no touch to wake) so maybe notifications that light up the screen just count as a pickup too.
[doublepost=1536843534][/doublepost]I had 4 notifications between 2-3am and it counted this as 48s of screen time even though I wasn’t using it. I guess whenever th screen is lit up it starts the counter and counts some notifications as pickups even if you aren’t actually picking up the phone.

Also the reason my screen time is less than my screen on time in the battery section is because in the battery section it counts screen on time for everything as 1 minute when it detects it. Screen time is counting everything up by the seconds so that’s why it’s less and hopefully more accurate.

Maths is ok, but logic not. If you have 10 dollars, and Jack has 25% more, than Jack has 12.5 dollars. If Nick has up to 15% more than Jack, that means he has 14.375 dollars. So Nick has 43.75% more dollars than you, not 40% as you say.
I truly embarrassed. That said. The iPhone 7 was 100% (2x) faster than the iPhone 6 is this correct? So the iPhone 10s is only 43.75% faster than the 7 2 years later? I was just saying the boosts in performance seems to be slowing. It’s ok because everything is still so fast.

Any NON beta build always has better battery life over a beta.......

I actually don't have any white app block. However, my iPhone X lists all the apps I have installed as possible candidates for being allowed, so no way for me to tell which one is missing from yours.
