Apple is (of course) smart enough NOT to send out an update to hundreds of millions of people just for some missing activity badges and then shortly release another update with more important fixes.

Relax—an update will come when ready!
Why not? If Apple were preparing a 12.0.1 and it was nearly ready to go out the door I don’t see why they would necessarily hold that back because other bugs were discovered, however severe those bugs are. They would need time to fix and text them so they could just be in a later release. There are always more bugs to fix later down the line.

I don’t think it’s likely to come out today but I don’t know why some insist it’s impossible or stupid to do so.

Still will be fairly shocked if Apple doesn’t fix the charge bug sooner than 12.1, I don’t personally suffer from the issue but it’s definitely an important bug fix.

If you think its only "just missing badges" you aren't fully aware of the issue. It doesn't track streaks properly, it doesn't track streaks properly and more. And its not just my device. 4 people in my household have this issue.

Because updating the phone is an action on peoples behalf that requires attention, time and include some risk. Apple don’t want people to go through that ONLY for small issues like missing badges. That issue will be fixed with other more important issues.

You would think they would want to get the charging issue out to the masses. Not everyone wants to go beta to fix this.

Again, its not just missing badges.

Does it has any release notes ?

Here you go:

There’s more new than the notes are showing. More built in app actions, for example
