yes at 1PM PST, would still have to see if we on beta get an update or not, or we get 12.2 beta tomorrow.

what do you think when? in 14 minutes?
Could be anytime really given how quickly this one seems to be going out, unless it's not quite even what has been in beta, but seems like the 1 PM (US Pacific) time-slot, in just about 10 minutes, might be a good one to keep an eye on, assuming this all holds up.

should we expect to see watchOS, macOS and everything else updated today also to the public release versions? or will those remain in beta?

iOS 12.2 beta 1 tomorrow? watchOS 5.1.3 beta 2 and macOS 10.14.3 beta 2 also?

this only 1 beta of 12.1.2 has me thrown for a loop for the rest of the software that is in beta and what is next for iOS beta.

looks like this iOS 12.1.2 is only for iPhone devices so iPads will still be on 12.1.1

version numbers no longer in sync. we will need iOS 12.1.3 or 12.2 to get them back in sync.

We don't "need" anything. When the Verizon iPhone launched, it had its own version of iOS 4. No other iPhone or iPad got an update.

So if I have the current beta profile installed, will I get the next beta update (12.2?), or do I have to remove it, update to the current official, then re-download the beta profile when the new beta comes out?

Trying to avoid all of this since the official today is basically the beta for 12.1.2.

You'll get the next beta update, essentially whatever and whenever that will be.

I just can’t see apple releasing any betas til after the new year now...
if they were to do a 12.2 beta this year.. I think they would have had 12.2 and 12.1.2 beta running concurrently.

Possibly a newer beta for the current 12.1.2 beta 1 to re-label it as 12.1.3 beta 1 or beta 2 sometime this week.

They would have to this week. Which seems highly unlikely.
The likelihood is certainly questionable, but given that iOS 12.1.2 public release wasn't even really discussed as a possibility and yet ended up happening and being seemingly different from the actual 12.1.2 that's in beta, who knows what that variable might introduce.
