Unless it's something urgent/important in one way or another, which this might fall under (although might not given that the exploit itself is disabled for now).

Oh, Apple said a fix is coming later this week. And given they were able to disable Group FaceTime on their end as a temporary fix, there’s no rush. Really anytime between now and Saturday is possible, yes I know they typically don’t release software on Saturdays, but they do sometimes for critical bugs.

saturday is not a good idea to release an update incase there are any issues.

Not really excited about 12.1.4 it will only be a Facetime bug fix, hopefully 12.2 beta 2 comes soon

Not a good idea, but sometimes the need for the update outweighs that (whether or not that's the case in this situation is somewhat debatable).

That’s a mighty conclusion you have there. Just because they pulled this update does mean one is coming today. It very well could come tomorrow.

Well, they released 11.2 on a Saturday, but granted it was also to fix a notification bug that was causing devices to restart repeatedly.
