DP3 today, as I'm guessing the whole of Apple doesn't go AWOL for the whole week.
They do for Thanksgiving. Just saying..

But with that being said, if not today, then not until next Monday. I don't recall a single public version or beta version of iOS being released the day before a holiday. Its too risky.

Not being familiar with US holidays, but do they really? Really shut down the whole company? If so, then wow.

Yes, Corporate Apple, executives, engineers, and so forth have the entire week of Thanksgiving off. Apple Stores and AppleCare are open, but thats expected. (Apple Stores are closed on Thanksgiving Day).

This is the last time MacRumors has reported it, but its like this every year:

No..they don't...everyone is just being dramatic.

On Wednesday, July 4th, yes...probably more than 90% of the team will be off (and checking their mail from home), but during "beta season" I'm sure they are working almost every day and then they get some personal time/comp days after a successful release in the Fall.

I've been technically off on many major holidays and have still "worked" on holidays. MOst of what we are talking about can be done from home if something needs to be done.

Yes they do.

I even posted an article above proving it. Which I shouldn't have to do because I know people that work high up in Apple, so I know their Thanksgiving break schedule.

4th of July and Thanksgiving are two completely different things.

There is a very emotional element associated with Thanksgiving and being with family...particularly because Tim Cook knows that Apple employees will be working EXTRA hard right after the holiday with the ramp up to Christmas.

This is a software update happening two months from now...if people have to work, they will.

No
So will auto update grab the next beta as soon as it comes out or should I watch for release and manually update.

My bet is on 11.4.1 Beta 5 today and 12.0 Beta 3 tomorrow.
I disagree because I doubt they’d release a B3 right before the holiday (maybe after) without at least a day to make sure nothing goes terribly wrong
edit: But we’ll see
