They do for Thanksgiving. Just saying..

But with that being said, if not today, then not until next Monday. I don't recall a single public version or beta version of iOS being released the day before a holiday. Its too risky.

They don't have that kind of courage just yet. ;)

Yes, Corporate Apple, executives, engineers, and so forth have the entire week of Thanksgiving off. Apple Stores and AppleCare are open, but thats expected. (Apple Stores are closed on Thanksgiving Day).

This is the last time MacRumors has reported it, but its like this every year:
https://www.macrumors.com/2014/09/24/apple-thanksgiving-holiday/

A bit different as the first three days were given as a bonus reward for a record breaking quarter and not originally booked as part of their holiday schedule. On paper Apple only gave Thursday and Friday as holidays the others were extended "bonus" days for good work. Just wanted to point this out as you always point out details like this when you talk about your law degree and I feel like it's quite the oversight from you in that regard.

Beta 2 was released later than usual so there’s still a chance it will be released today yet, even though it was released on Tuesday last time.

Edit: Not looking likely now... I’ll bet on tomorrow!

OK. Although it is relevant to the speculation, can we all just drop the issue whether Apple is on vacation or not. We've beaten that topic to the point that its just a smear on the sidewalk at this point.

Wait...Apple taking a full week off...at Thanksgiving...2 years ago...isn't relevant??

Has Apple every done that before released 2 different ios betas on the same day ?
Yes, I remember this happening before and everyone was wondering why they weren’t getting the GM or update of that version and then a developer beta came out. I can’t recall which version

It’s not an oversight. They give the entire week off every single year. The one article posted was referencing the “reward” for time off. But in the end, this happens yearly. Even in-house Apple legal counsel gets the entire thanksgiving week off.
