You have experience with one company and I seriously doubt they shut down the entire company. Hardly a reliable pattern. Sorry, I just think everyone on here assuming that most companies (especially a company like Apple who can’t simply interrupt their operations for that long) shut down for days is silly.
And this in any different to Thanksgiving how?

The company in the US shuts down for the 4 days. It’s counterparts across the world are open.

My older sister works for an insurance company. They have Tues-Friday off. Company is closed.

Things change when the 4th is a Wednesday.

Last time July 4th was a Wednesday there was a three week gap between iOS betas. Granted it was June 25 for beta 2 and July 16 for beta 3. But still a three week gap.

In comparison, there was only a 2 week gap between beta 1 and beta 2.
Yeah there is a family owned restaurant here that always close the week of the 4th but that is not the norm esp for big corps like Apple. And yeah a 2 week beta this early is odd but they did it for the 1st two so no reason to go back to 3 weeks gap. Also PB is usually around b3 not b2 so the entire beta process seems to be out of the norm this time around. So who knows what they have in store.

Pretty sure PB1 followed DP2 last year as well. I’m not saying closing for the week is normal, but Apple does close for Thanksgiving week, so being that it’s a Wednesday holiday this year, it’s entirely possible.

I believe you are correct . PB1 was June 26 and seems to be DP2 build.

If anyone really cared about Apple’s work schedule for the week of July 4th, all they have to do is give Apple a call and ask.
Apple Corporate and Apple Support are two entirely different things. Obviously call centers are open. Call center reps and engineers are two entirely different set of employees.

Well, if it’s critical that your tabs stay open and there’s a chance that upgrading will affect that, then I would not upgrade.
Thanks mate. It's not critical. I could also just email the links to myself, and then if they go when I upgrade I can just reopen them.

I'm gonna do it!

Lol.

I think they could push out beta 3 tomorrow ahead of the holiday. It wouldn't surprise me at all.
I agree and as u stated, would not be at all surprised. But if not tomorrow then my guess would be for next week the 9th/10th.

My guess it's beta 3 tomorrow but don't expect major changes or bug fixes, it's just a build that will be for testing of the new Maps tiles in the Bay area in California I hope they'll fix watch GPS + Heartrate bugs

I'm going to go with an ok chance of a DP3 release today, 0% tomorrow, 0% Wednesday, pretty unlikely but possible on Thursday, 0% on Friday, and then very good chances next Monday/Tuesday.

Based on nothing....
