I like my theory: @Banglazed is really @TimApple
[doublepost=1557937680][/doublepost]Alright: we've got an hour til this drops. What's in it? It is a point update, so I don't think it'll just be quick fixes. My candidates:
  • Apple TV+
  • Updated Maps
  • Something supporting AppleWatch (which is also apprarently getting a point release today, notably after NOT getting one to correlate with 12.3
What we will not get:
  • Dark Mode
  • Dark Mode
  • Dark Mode

12.4?? Well, I would have been out a lot of money, because I would have said no way in Hell would there be a 12.4. My guess is its for Apple Credit Card, but that easily could have been done in a 12.3.1. It really appears X.X updates are becoming X.X.x updates; X.X were usually saved for big features.

I’m kinda surprised so many people thought there wouldn’t be anymore betas, being that iOS 13 won’t be available to the public for another 3 1/2 to 4 months...

Pretty much all beta activity ceases after WWDC, because it focuses on the next version. Only the new iOS version is in beta from June->Sept, except rare occasions with 9.3.3 and 8.4. Both of which still ended in June.

Why would they push TV+ when the first show hits in fall afaik? Map updates are mostly server-side, only the encapsulating UI and new functionality requires OS updates.

I’m just throwing at the wall on this one! No idea!

My guess (seeing as it's iOS and WatchOS) it's probably AppleCard related. Both devices use the Wallet so my guess is we see an update to that App with AppleCard. Question is will beta users get beta access to the AppleCard? lol

No public beta for iOS 12.4? First public beta of 12.3 came 1 day after developer release...
And its possible that the canary that is the Developer beta may have caught an issue that caused Apple to hold up. Trust me, there's really nothing in 12.4 that is worth getting all excited about, unless you really get a charge (pun intended!) out of seeing more credit card transactions in your Wallet.
