Not fresh as a restore but yeah it downloads the whole firmware

Does anyone know: I kicked off the update on wifi and switched to data. Does this work? The status seems unchanged but I'm not sure if that's due to the fact that I switched from Wifi to data or because all y'all are trying to download it too

I may be wrong, but as I understand it OTA updates are only delivered via WIFI..? Data would be much faster for me too, but I'm not switching at this point!

It only works on wifi.

If the build is the same, then Apple Support isn’t telling the truth when they said the GM will fix activity app.

2 years in a row with last beta/GM. Things must be changing internally. Slightly disappointed it’s the same build. Wasn’t happy with beta 12.

I imagine that will be fixed in a 12.0.1 build or the like, that usually comes quickly after the public release. As long as the data is in the health app I'm sure it will show up when they fix the bug.

Only "feature" that could convince me to update from iOS 9 is volume UI. Holy **** is it annoying to change volume and have my entire screen covered for ten seconds. Also, why can I not change ringer volume if I have a podcast open?

The Shortcuts app is not in the GM build. Likely to be released as a stand alone app next week.

I think folks are confused by the iOS 12 Siri shortcuts found in Settings>Siri and the Shortcuts App that will offer a whole lot more.

It is intended to be the public release. It can happen, however, that a bug might be found requiring them to change something. If that happens, we'll get an update too.

any guesses to how soon we will probably see iOS 12.0.1 after 12.0 is released? sounds like some are not happy that beta 12 is the same as the GM.

I give it a week. seems to be the trend lately. unless the 12.0 update on monday ends up being different then the GM released yesterday because of some major issue.

11.0.1 was released a week after 11.0
10.0.1 was the first version released to the public due to GM being 10.0.1

Who knows what we will get on Monday.... there is a chance it could be 12.0.1 instead or a updated 12.0 build?
