On an xs, I still have a completely unusable mail app. Can't view emails, can't send (sits in outbox)

Most emails don't appear unless I open the app (meant to be received hours before).

Happens with multiple accounts, tried deleting and reinstalling accounts, and have also deleted and reinstalled the app.

Crazy

I have tried Apple Mail again and there is 0 improvement from iOS 13.0 Beta 1. It worked worse for me than in iOS 13.3. This app is really useless now. Using Outlook here now.

So useless like the other stock apps. When I’m getting reminders or messages from iMessage, I get them 2-3 days later on my MacBook and Apple Watch again when I’m turning them on. Weekly reminders are still completely marked as finished when I’m marking them only as that for one day. Using Microsoft’s To Do app here now.

The keyboard is still the biggest fail ever in iOS. Auto correct is dumb in any language. Swipe keyboard is trash. German words with Ä, Ö, Ü are not easy to write anymore. I have swiped this posting here and it took me 10 minutes. Had to correct every second word by myself again. 2-3 times. The auto correction is the worst thing I’ve ever seen. Like the whole keyboard.

I still don’t think that these problems will get erased with iOS 14. Many of them Apple doesn’t even see as problems. And they still think that Mail is fixed.

I just cant understand why it is so difficult for a trillion dollar company to fix something as simple as the mail app. It was fine for years. Maybe some people are not having the issue and some are and Apple cant figure out what the culprit is?

Yeah, battery life is massively improved on 13.3.1 on an iPhone 8 Plus for me.

same heavy use and I had been so used to the poor battery life on 13.3, that I have to do a double take when I see the battery percentage now.

I knew the battery wasn’t quite right on 13.3 for some reason but I accepted it and got used to it.

13.3.1 gets a big 👍 from me

Has anyone experienced issues with Spotlight Search on their iPads not pulling up any results?
Pulling down and searching results in nothing being found and no changes to the recommended apps.

I’m finding now since updating to iOS 13.3.1 that music added to the Music App on my MacBook isn’t being added on my iPhone 11 Pro Max. That same music is showing up on my iPad Pro 11 and my wife’s iPhone 8 Plus (with Family Sharing), although there’s no album art showing up on her iPhone 8 Plus. A reboot hasn’t fixed the issue. I think my next step is to delete all downloaded music on my phone, turn Music library off in Settings/Music? I just did an erase/restore when iOS 13.3 was released and other than Mail being garbage and some still questionable UI choices on their part, everything else has been fine. This is pretty lame.

Maybe check the "automatic downloads" switch for music in iTunes & app store settings. Flip off and back on? Maybe off then reboot then back on.

Maybe you are a candidate for Android :)

I went for a run and my heart rate chart doesn’t show up. (My watch stopped the run so I started another and same thing.

third party heart watch app shows the heart rate properly.

Anyone else notice this?

Well, first it seems it's gone, now it's back for me as well. Leaving the phone (i11 Pro) as it is, not using it, not having any apps installed it's loosing about 5-10% per hour.
Hope it doesn’t come back for me! I’m sick of my iPhone X battery and this has made it a bit better for me . Hope yours sorts it self out :)

After the most recent update I just had the unpleasant experience of not being able to get out of control center. I had to hard reset my 11 Pro because even the swipe to shut down was inoperable. Fun times.

For me, iOS 13 is fine and the minimal bugs I experience are mere nuisances, at worst.

Not saying you are not having issues, but it’s not universal.

This was my opinion exactly, right up until about 45 minutes ago when I couldn’t even shut down my phone and was afraid it was going to be erased from 10 unsuccessful unlock attempts while the control center screen held it hostage.

After about 60 Hours of 13.3.1, my non-scientific report of battery consumption situation in my SE is:

- Idle: Improved, but not even close to what 12 used to be;
- In use: The same crap, way worse than 12.

iOS 13 is crapware. Enough bugs to write a medium sized book .

Missing: a spoonful of salt.

Your comments are greatly exaggerated and you most likely know it. iOS 13 does do a lot of things right and some things unbelievably wrong, such as the Mail issues people are facing. But calling it crapware with enough bugs to write a medium-sized book about is way over-the-top.

It is my considered opinion that most of us here face bugs when either we have apps that are going rogue on that version of iOS, or it's been really long since we installed a fresh copy of iOS and the system has somehow accumulated some bits that are interfering with its ability to perform optimally.

Beyond these two scenarios come the obvious bugs such as the Mail issue that exist even if people install fresh copies. Those are the real bugs that need fixing.

I installed the update on my iPad Mini this morning. I didn't notice any differences in using it for ten minutes. I was hoping that the new Apple Maps has Offline Mode but it doesn't. I will update my iPhone in the next couple of days.

What differences were you expecting to see?

Re Maps: Offline mode was not ever announced as a Maps feature. Hopefully someday.
