mail app is probably what's causing everything else to crash

Doesn't seem like it's really crashing, and seems like the behavior is there even when the Mail app isn't used.

That makes a lot of sense. Its just a shame we may have to wait at least a month for a fix until 13.3 comes out. Im weary of running betas especially this year!

Why? It appears from most of these threads that the release firmware IS beta. Actually I am not having issues on an XR and things run just fine (including mail and Safari). But it seems that most here are not having that same experience. If that's the case whats to loose with the next version?

It might, or might not. Many versions didn't even get to x.2 or x.3 until more recent years.

I have an issue where I cannot delete new or old emails from the inbox on the native mail app. I am able to delete new emails after filtering on "unread", but cannot delete any emails from the inbox.

When you open Music on your phone or iPad and go to playlists, the album art icon does not match the descriptive text. I’ve attached a screenshot.
And the icons change everytime you go back to Playlist.
Been happening since first iOS 13 beta, over two different phones and iPad. Have deleted and reloaded. Restored, set up as new and nothing helps.
Have submitted to Apple numerous times. Crickets and no fix is what I get.

That sucks. The only issue that I have with playlist covers is that they often don't show in my Apple Music profile (shared playlists). But thats a minor issue compared to yours. Are they displayed correctly in iTunes/macOS Music app?

Battery update on beta 1 on my iPhone 11 Pro Max: 17% left after over 17 hours off the charger, with over 7.5 hours of screen ON. This is pretty great!

Wondering if this is server side. I know I can't move to Junk when looking at Yahoo. I can only delete them. It's always been this way.

This happens for other mail accounts as well, and not just Yahoo.
Hence has to do with Mail app and not a server side issue.

2. when clicking on a message or email notification from the lock screen, regularly it does not bring you to the actual message or email, it just opens the app.

Wait.. What.. Has it always been like this..??? I always get messages on my iPhone and watch.. This says depending on what device you are using is where the message will go and not sync to the other device ??

If the watch is not on your wrist and locked, then notifications appear only on the phone with sound as configured.
If however the watch is worn and unlocked, then the notification sound will appear only on the watch.

I’ve noticed today that the auto dark/light mode doesn’t appear to be working. Mine is stuck on light mode unless I force it on to dark.

The first buggy piece I’m sometimes noticing in beta 1 is with messages - sometimes it randomly switches to SMS green bubbles but goes back to blue after an app quit. It’s a manageable bug and to be expected from an early beta. I still think it’s a better build that the last release version.

I think the development of an os version takes the base as one previous to the immediately preceding version. perhaps they have taken 11 as the basis for 13.
they might take 12 as the base for 14 that is why there is hope in everyone's mind about 14.

I’m still getting multitasking refreshes more than usual, Garmin Connect which I leave open in the background for my watch pretty much always refreshes if I move away and do something else. My TomTom Go app also had a refresh too this morning after I opened Twitter.

It seems better than 13.2 but to call it fixed seems a bit of a stretch.

I can't understand why that would possibly be true. more likely, there are numerous under the hood changes and while on the face of it the app looks the same, it actually has many parts re-written for performance or whatever other reason, hence the bugs creep in.

But releasing such a buggy OS also has associated costs. Has anyone conducted cost benefit analysis between the two options?

I think with iOS 13.3.x they will more care about bugfixes now. It feels a lot better than the previous ones. Except the keyboard

Refresh bug is not resolved. Battery is truely incredible in 11 pro max despite my heavy usage (better than 13.2). iOS feels snappier overall.

I haven’t had a single reload event since I upgraded to this beta. How did you reproduce the reload? Did you report it in the feedback app, with your details on how it happened? Maybe it’s still there, depending how the device is being used?

Only bug I've encountered is that sometimes when wearing AirPods and a message comes in it lowers the music to speak the message but doesn't raise the volume of the music back to where it was once its read. It then keeps the music volume at a very low level. I've had to disconnect and reconnect airpods a few times when this has happened. I turned off siri speaking messages for the time being.

Confirming delete all mail issue. If edit-select all-delete is used in any mailbox, deletion does not occur. If edit-select all and then you un-select any single email, then hit delete, they all delete except the one un-selected. You just can't do them all.
