What? Siri has been able to Shazam for a long time...is that what you’re referring to?

REQUEST

I have provided feedback to Apple today regarding the 'Open in Background' option in Safari when you long-press a link. This option used to be the first option and felt natural. Now it is the second option, the first one being Open, and it feels totally unnatural and impedes workflow. I request members to kindly report to Apple to revert this change made in iOS 13.4 beta 1 onwards. I waited for beta 2 hoping they would revert it on their own. Apparently not, the same exists in beta 2 as well, so I have reported it today. If this change bugs you as well, please report to Apple under Feedback Assistant > iOS and iPadOS > Safari > Unexpected Behaviour.

The Shazam app doesn't install. It now either part of core iOS or the shortcuts app.
You can make a shortcut to Shazam without the app installed and it will identify the song when activated.

Optimised battery charging still not working for me on this beta.

Worked fine on 13.3.1 but since going to 13.4 beta the feature has stopped working.

So you’re saying you are unable to install Shazam via the App Store?

All right; that’s just Siri’s Shazam functionality. It’s been there for a while now to the best of my knowledge.

OK, it'a good day for me. Small temperature adjustments in HomeKit are back. Since iOS 13.0 temperatures on thermostats couldn't be changed in 0,5 steps any longer. Have sent feedback on this several times and finally this feature is back in iOS and macOS. This is great.

Fantastic find!!! Like you found, this was a real pain. So pleased they’ve sorted it!!

Music app does not show my downloaded music, and Settings app shows downloaded music at Zero KB, but when I plug it into my laptop and open iTunes, it is all still showing to be there.
Tried syncing and tried hard reboot, but no change so far.
 
Folks who’ve run 13.3.1 and this new beta, comparing the two what’s your initial impressions?

I'd say stick with 13.3.1, nothing decisively better here as yet. There are regressions, depending on what you do with the device.

- I use Safari as maybe the third most-used app and I find the new option to Open when you long-press a link disorienting. Open in Background used to be option 1 and now it is option 2, making no sense.

The Positives:

- Notification Centre bug (introduced in 13.4 b1) is resolved as of beta 2 on iPhone 8

- Improvements in Mail with regards to options at the bottom.

- It is about as smooth as 13.3.1, it may be smoother. It's good.

For the first time in a while, I’ll be giving the PB’s a great big miss. Wait for more stability or the release version. I’m like most people, I want mail fixing and I will be happy.
 
The Swiss "Postfinance" app doesn't load. It crashes on launch. This might have started in the previous beta, but I didn't check.

Betas often break online banking apps. I'm actually surprised the UK Nationwide app still works.

Upgrade to WiFi Calling
Using T-Mobile as a carrier.
Since the update to 13.4 Beta 2 I am unable to upgrade to WiFi calling on my other apple devices. Note that WiFi calling when iPhone is nearby works however when the iPhone is NOT nearby does not work. Cannot enable the Upgrade to WiFi Calling on other devices even though the option to enable appears and when selected then nothing happens. Note that all other devices are on Beta versions of iOS and Catalina as well.
  1. Force ReStarted iPhone (No Success)
  2. Turned WiFi Calling OFF & ON (No Success)
  3. Turned Add WiFi calling for other devices OFF & ON (No Success)
  4. Turned Allow calls on other devices OFF & ON (No Success)
Note - WiFi Calling from iPhone when near by -- Works. When Not near by - does not work.

I have not reported it yet since I want to make sure that it is not just me & T-Mobile before I do that.

i am using iP7+ and did OTA update.. and it goes wrong for me.. my device becoming none responsive and my mobile network is in searching mode (not able to execute the Settings > mobile network).. any suggestion anyone? 😰😰😰
