FaceID thing aside and COVID tracking, how has 13.5 been as a release bugs wise, performance wise, and battery life wise?

What are your devices ?

I’ve got an iPhone 11 Pro Max and a 2018 iPad Pro 11in With the the new Magic Keyboard. As for iOS, I’m finding that the “All Inboxes” Mailbox doesn’t update any of my iCloud emails unless I go to the actual iCloud Inbox folder first.. That’s been an on/off thing thru most of iOS, though. I’m also having more issues with the backlight either staying on indefinitely or not coming on at all. Usually just pulling the iPad off the case and placing it back on again fixes that. I’ve had a couple app crashes (Tweetbot and Mario Run)... Battery life does seem a little worse, too. But it’s only been a couple days.

Two factor via a code (email text or ... and your face, finger, or complex passcode.
Like I have with some of my secure apps.

No. NO! AND HELL NO!!! The problems with internet voting are numerous. It’s not just the security of your device (and 2-factor isn’t foolproof btw). The fact that the voting system is online is the thing of nightmares. No voting system should ever be connected to the internet. Period.

Paper ballots are far and away the most secure voting system ever developed and should be used universally. It’s massively difficult to rig an election when you use paper ballots (in person or by mail) and perform randomly sampled recounts.

Still noticing stuttering when opening apps. Very subtle and occasional but it’s there. iPhone 11 Pro

For me, this was the best ios13 version apple has ever released. Not much stutter happen for iphone xs except scrolling in some 3rd party apps such as facebook.

Bugs on iOS 13.5 in iPhone 11 pro max:
- Volume control automatically adjusts itself?!?!! I get random volume pop-ups where the levels keep oscillating
- Dictation - the animation of the volume input in the chart is glitchy and stuttering
- Battery life - the phone drains my battery at a double rate. I give it one more day and if these persist, I will clean install the OS.

Looks a helluva lot better than mine. Guess it's time for an iTunes sync.

On my devices, it seems RAM management may be somewhat improved. I still get safari tabs reloading but it seems to be better than 13.4.1. Battery life is the same as before (Granted only one day of observation).

did it seem better on 13.4 vs 13.4.1? Ram wise

So stupid. We need to have one app
I'm ignoring the rest of your comment, but for anyone wondering, even if states have unique apps, the benefit of the API is that it doesn't matter who is using what app, your phone continues to send anonymous beacons that others can hear, and your phone will hear beacons from others, regardless of which health authority's app they're using.

Still the same for me. Apps are constantly reloading, it's really starting to annoy me.

what device? Same experience on 13.4/13.4.1 as well?

I’m aware but I want specific answers on specific criteria. The mega threads normally turn into just talking about features ie detecting a mask on for passcode and covid tracing. I’m not interested in hearing about that

Facetime that was messed up with the changes made in ios 13.4.1 still not fixed. Facetime calls keep crashing and frontal camera still not working in 3 party apps on iphone 7 plus :(

For me it matters greatly who writes them and what information is collected. Here in Cali, State agencies have a poor history of protecting and keeping private your data.

Messages and calls are working again with the Apple Watch. But everything else like calendar or reminders are not synced.

Alright im just gonna give it a try

worst comes to worst I can restore to 13.4.1 for now if I dont like it. should know in a few days how it fares. hopefully not sooner if its a mess haha

I updated my iPhone 6s to iOS 13.5 and had 4 resprings in Safari, youtube and there was glitch when there is phone call but no buttons to answer a call.
