Yea, unfortunately outside of the new Overview screen, everything is still full screen.
The overview screen is making me jealous of those who have a widescreen display in their cars. One thing that I have noticed about all of the betas (ios13 ,Watch 6 and carplay) is that at first things didn't work. But as time has gone on and reboots have happened, it's all working now. On Tuesday the nav screen in overview, didn't track my position as I drove. By Wednesday it did.

I was trying to import a shortcut but couldn't, so I thought I'd delete the one that comes pre-installed on iOS 13 and try re-install from the app store. But now the only one I can get on the app store is the old (iOS 12) version and I can't get the beta version back anymore.

I get the following errors.

Guess it's my own fault for deleting a beta version of software and expecting to be able to get it again from the store... lol.

Interesting enough, I found the Store page for the iOS 13 Shortcuts app (as it looks like iOS 13 bakes Shortcuts into the system), however, it says "This app requires specific features not available on this device".

Hoping iOS 13 finally fixes issues with pre-releases. Always having issues with new singles not downloading.

Update on album pre-releases... Added five albums earlier in the week that were due to drop in full today with 2 or 3 pre released tracks each.

Happy to say that all 5 have fully downloaded. Not a single greyed out tracked that would usually mean I’d have to remove and re-add the album.

However not one of them generated a release notification.

That said, definitely seems like progress or could it be just luck?

Will keep an eye out going forward

Were they moved to the top of the recently added list? I've tended to remove and re-add, just so I can have it at the top instead of having to scroll through for a new release.

Yes they were moved to the top. Also had a track added to a release next week pushing that up too so definitely looks to be working well

Adding pictures to contacts is definitely broken lol. Breaks as soon as you press all photos. In Contacts it just goes black, in Messages it goes to a greyed out version of your conversation.

Same here! I also noticed you can't edit the photo like to resize it for the contact

Shortcuts app is preinstalled if you ever restore via IPSW

Some observations

- Emoji selection struggles with sliding through. It takes several times to slide the emojis over when selecting. Because when you try to drag it instead selects the emoji where your fingers is placed

- Trying to add a photo to a contact causes a crash when selecting photo

- Safari is probably the fastest it's ever been compared to any version of iOS on any previous phone.

- When pasting urls/links in Messages ...it adds an unnecessary space which sends an additional blank message after the link

- This is the first version of iOS in years that I was able to sync my iTunes playlists without iOS creating duplicate playlists for no reason. I shall try to repeat this just in case it goes back to that

You use any adblocker to speed it up?

As usual..waiting for Public Beta...hah

Guys, apologies for the following if it's already been discussed to oblivion, alas I'm very late to this thread and can see 55 pages of posts.... I'm considering going with the Public Beta on my daily iPhone 7 when it's released next month. What are the changes of the main apps not working as they should - mail, phone, messages, whatsapp, BBC News etc? Also, would most of the major apps have been updated for iOS 13 pre rollout of the Beta?

Worth a look at the list of apps confirmed to be working here...

That's at least three weeks away and probably a couple of more beta releases. I would just wait until the first week of July to ask that question or just start following this thread moving forward.

In short though, Mail seems to be the only "major" app that has shown some issues with stability/usage and even that has not been consistent. Vary stable on most accounts.

There is actually entire thread devoted to this issue here ==> https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/-ios-13-working-broken-and-meh-apps.2183813/

Formally, apps are not updated to anything requiring the new iOS APIs until 13 is released. I do think they grant exceptions to that in some cases but would not count on this.

Thanks guys. Will be keeping up to date on both these threads from now.
