Two of the banking apps I use regularly crashes when I open them. Whatsapp doesn’t show previews or send me notifications when I receive a message. And the fonts are weird in Apollo.

I restored the phone to a new phone first and was able to restore from my backup.

Will now wait for public beta.
Thanks mate. I recently scrapped my Jailbreak because of my banking apps not working. So may need to hold tight until I get confirmation they work on the beta.

It’s time for UI overhaul. 6th generation with no significant change. Even Microsoft is trying to make UI less boring.

Common, Apple, it’s not 2013 anymore.
Did you even install ios 13? There are TONS of ui overhauls. Of course not the homescreen but literally everything has a nice new touch. Plus dark mode? Thats a huge ui overhaul if you ask me. (Of course I wouldnt say no to a new homescreen)

Siri suggestion to edit my alarms because of a public holiday tomorrow. This is cool!

Multi-select in iOS Mail app... is this new in iOS 13? (Or am I just the last to know how to do this?)
  1. Open message list
  2. Click “edit” in top right corner
  3. Select bubble on left and drag your finger down (hold at the bottom to continue down)
  4. Select “mark” on bottom of screen and make selection

I installed the beta around 12 hours ago and my photos (I have close to 30,000) are still syncing from iCloud. I chose to upgrade instead of restore. Only 13,000 photos are showing up on my iPhone X and the remaining ones are either being updated or uploaded. I'm not sure why it's telling me that thousands of photos are in the queue for uploading when my entire library is already in iCloud photos.

Is this normal? Anyone else having similar issues with their photo library?

That might be relevant in an iOS thread if Microsoft hadn't completely withdrawn from mobile, having failed in the marketplace. That would be more "even Microsoft tried" than "even Microsoft is trying", no?

So you're saying that Windows doesn't run on tablets then - or are tablet's not mobile devices?

The only reason their "mobile" OS failed was due to lack of developer support. Although in all fairness, the UI of the OS did win me over as it was just perfect for phones - just a shame it wasn't meant to be.

I can understand the disappointment that some are expressing regarding the (lack) of changes with the UI in iOS13 - I myself would have like to have seen more customisation options on the home screen and maybe an option to "hide" the notch system-wide rather than having to rely on Dark Mode.

That said, I am liking some of the little things that are being found. This is the first developer beta that I haven't installed off the bat as I only have my "daily driver" iPhone now. I've done well at holding off so far but the temptation is growing!!

I’m not sure the calls going to voicemail is an iOS 13 thing. My phone was in 12.4 yesterday morning and the same thing happened. Phone vibrated for about a tenth of a second, the caller ID showed the caller for a similarly short time and then it just went to voicemail.

What carrier are you on? I’m on at&t. Had 3 bars at the time.

Do you have the "Silence Unknown Callers" option enabled in Settings-> Phone? This option sends ANY call from a caller not in your address book straight to voicemail. (Kind of a brute-force method imo.)

This will be perfect for me, honestly.

If you call my phone and you are not in my contacts, I always let it go to voicemail. If you leave a voicemail, I now know who you are and add the contact.

I do this for every single caller...or immediately block the number if I know it is spam.

I’d say it’s normal. Somehow. There are lots of discussions around that. Anyway I wouldn’t worry. FYI I have over 120k photos in my library and whenever I change my phone or do a hrs reset it takes days even weeks to index again everything. On this beta I see it runs again a library analysis even though it was update not set up as new. And just to make things even better during this time the battery is literally killed with hours of photo background activity. But hey. I’m ok. It’s part of the process. It was my choice to use iCloud Photo Library and tbh I’m still waiting some under the hood improvements in that area.

Easier version
  1. Open message list
  2. Use two finder to tap to edit (without releasing your finder off the screen, drag up or down or else do #3 below)
  3. Use two finder to tap and drag up or down to select multiple message
  4. Select "Read", "Delete" or "Done"
You can do this anywhere such as Notes, Mail etc.

Can anyone confirm the trend page in activity as functional? I’m only seeing VO2max and nothing else. Wanna know if it’s a bug or is just me.

iOS 13 installed on iPhone X. Stuck in reboot mode won’t restore won’t update or anything. Any help will be massive. No issues with all other devices on this beta.
