A lot of weirdness going on between my phone on 13 and my Watch on 5.3. My stocks to watch have disappeared and when I try to re-add them, I get “Dictation failed”. The watch went into DND an hour before it should have last night (governed by Bedtime app on phone).

If this continues, I’ll report.
I have noticed that I am not getting several notifications on the watch since updating to the beta on my XS Max. Most notably calls. Running watchOS 5.3 on a series 3 with cellular.

I honestly recommend updating to watchOS 6 for the fact that the watchOS has actually been pretty stable. I get all of my notifications too
[doublepost=1560027042][/doublepost]I am on a series 4 watch though.

Did you have to do anything special to get the Activity app to appear?

I always do betas from scratch, and unfortunately when I paired my watch to my phone, I never got the Activity app to actually load (though the data is syncing; it shows my rings in Health).

Not very clear what you mean, but didn’t So anything special all was there as it should.

I installed the beta and set my phone up as a new device and didn’t restore from a backup or anything. I also reset my watch. When I paired my watch, the Activity app never showed up.

I was asking if you did anything special, or if the app just showed up whenever you paired your watch.

On ipad, what does the home screen look like in portrait with the widgets showing? Haven’t seen a single image

Yeah, I’ve thought about it, but I rely on my watch as my alarm in the mornings and if that doesn’t work in the beta (had it happen with an early beta in the past) there’s no way to go back right?

That’s because in portrait widgets can’t be “slid” over onto the rest of the home screen; rather, they appear in an overlapping pane.

Ah! So they ARE there but in Slideover (or something like that). Good to know!

Ok so you drag to right like before but they now cover the icons. Picture anyone?

Here’s how it looks on my iPad Mini 5 with Reduce Transparency enabled. A bit buggy at this point as one can see.

- Bottom edge for managing slideover multitasking: Swipe up for slideover expose, swipe right for slideover quickswitch.
- Left edge to dismiss
- Top edge to move and change modality between slideover and side by side
Not entirely sure what these gestures mean. Oh wait...

I just do beta on top of iOS 12.3.1. I can open activity app from my watch and my iPhone. Maybe this time doing beta from scratch causes more problems?
I am on a series 4 watch though.
Ahh, that’s the deal breaker. I’m on series 3 and it won’t bring too many new features to my watch.

I had it on my mini 5 for a bit. The icons and dock were pretty tiny. I was surprised Apple went that small with them.
Yeah, so small that I have an even harder time trying to find an app that is inside the folder without opening the folder now.

Yeah, I’m hoping that along with many other parts of the OS that they might be tweaked or changed before final release.

Can definitely say the same. Xs and dark mode goes so crazy. Tip: use the pure black wallpaper and see what will happen to your battery life ;)

If having dark mode enabled on a device with LCD despite that having a backlight would that still save battery life or is that with OLED (or OLED ones will save more battery life)

Someone literally just answered this few posts up. And google is your friend.
