Anyone keep having “Analyzing Library” with a blue line every time you either add or delete a photo?

In portrait mode on phone it is lower right hand corner. In landscape it is upper right.

It’s not there.

Reminders behavior seems to have changed. I wasn’t on beta 1 but on beta 2, the notifications are no longer persistent. On iOS 12 the notification would stay on the lock screen until it was completed.

Bug or change?

In my experience, time-based reminders are persistent, while location-based reminders disappear after a while. I haven't noticed anything awry in the betas with regards to that yet.

I had it at first, but once I locked the phone and put it on the charger overnight while connected to WiFi, it went away.

Is anyone else’s music app shrunk down in slideover view?

I am unable to do a soft reset from lock screen or home screen.I press volume up, volume down and then press and hold the power button but it only prompts me to turn off the phone. Also, when pressing volume up and down, I do not see the HUD respond.

Another feature that I do not have is Siri announcing messages through AirPods. Not sure if I had it in B1, but I definitely don't have "Announce Messages with Siri" in the Notifications section.

Tweet has been deleted. What did it say?
Essentially: Get your bug reports in before beta 3 comes out because at that point, they're not going to be able to do too much to change the direction of iOS 13. Mainly geared towards feature requests, I think.

I'm sure he was ordered to take down the tweet. That was as much inside baseball as I've ever seen an Apple employee reveal below the Senior VP level. And then it got retweeted by Steve Troughton Smith. I'm sure senior Apple people saw immediately. I would actually worry for this guy's job, to be honest.

I'm putting in the "First party apps don't expose their documents folder" one I posted about earlier right now then. This work Webex I'm on wasn't important anyway :p

I mean it's got a 0.001% chance of happening but at least I will have tried.

Anyone else having input on Notes.app (for me on iPad Pro 11 via keyboard and Apple Pencil) freeze up periodically? I reported it.

Its nice and, once you've downloaded it, you can even drop it in the documents folder of an app like VLC (or of course play it directly from Downloads from an app that supports opening from Files).

My beef now is that, and I'm thinking especially of that first case of dropping files in the sandbox, doesn't extend to 1st party apps like Music or TV. This makes them feel like worse citizens of the OS than 3rd party apps like VLC. While I suspect they won't change this I'm going to write up feedback to this effect later anyway.

Be sure to make this suggestion in the feedback app.

That's what I said in the last sentence you quoted ;)

I just submitted this. Written in a hurry and kinda messy

Me said:
With the download manager and Files integration it's now possible to do powerful things with content from the web. A user can download media content for example and move that media using Files and move it directly into some app's container in Files. However it cannot be moved into TV or Music. This makes these seem a worse citizen of iOS 13 than 3rd party apps and creates unnecessary and potentially confusing extra steps of having to know about and acquire capable 3rd party applications.

Scenario: John finds a (legal, non-drm) mp3 or mp4 file on the web and wants to save it for later. He downloads this using Safari then navigates over to the Files app and moves this file into, for example, the VLC app. The audio or video file is now exposed in the VLC app and John can play it later. However, generally, John prefers to use the TV app for video, or the Music app for video. Being unable to copy files from the web into these apps reduces John's engagement with these first party apps.

Resolution: Provide a container for these first party apps that allows John to manage his own media. This needn't expose content downloaded from the respective stores, nor any 3rd party video content streamed in TV.

Also if a nickname has been placed in a contact that's the name that shows up for imessage previews.

Guys my hotspot is not working. Visible and everything but can’t connect. Mac, android and other iPhones.
Anyone seen this? Beta 1 was the same. iOS 12 was working fine so it’s not a carrier limitation.

Same here. And with a huge library.

Man, you are having a lot of issues. I can't recall, but are you one of the people who installed using the Windows tool?
