Tested it. on two calls I did .... Otherwise it reconnects eventually. I think the new iPhones are able to do better on reconnect.
Thanks for that!

In B1 my WiFi would die such that I had to reboot my phone. In this beta (B2) WiFi reconnects pretty much as soon as I end the FaceTime call. I notice, to my joy, that my feedback request is marked with something like "over 10 people have the same issue". That means it'll get fixed. I assume ...

Yep. I also reported it. So let’s see.

Not sure if this has been talked about much yet but I am absolutely loving the photos app. It looks stunning to scroll through and see various sized photos and your vids playing as you scroll past them.

On a side note, my vids were static for a day or so after installing, then this morning they all started working (not sure if some cloud magic is involved).

Photos app is stunning yes, but I’m finding way too easy during scroll/pause/scroll - that photos thinks I want to rearrange photos. Sometimes I see a photo under my finger as if I picked it up. I did not. Way too easy.

This seems to be random and it does not give the Taptic feedback when it happens. Maybe a bug? Tested it intentionally a few times and it takes work to do it intentionally so it’s weird.

I tried to recreate this as I didn’t know you could rearrange photos but I can’t seem to recreate it. When I touch a picture it pops into a submenu with options such as delete, can’t seem to drag them around.

Just updated my iPhone. Wonder why it says that it needs to upload 17.000 photos on my photo app. They are already in the cloud ...
upload or update?

videos on my side are auto playing only if medium (2) or big (1) size in the grid. if in the small (3) size they don't auto play. can anyone else confirm this?

High-Key light mono is causing my XS Max to freeze and lockup, on occasion leading to a long respring.

Only on the rear camera though. Selfie camera seems to work okay.

Hmmm...no issue here. 256g XS Max.

It’s official, my iPhone can fully produce meme videos and pictures all from the device.

Usually I’d fire up FCPX. But now that I can download videos directly to the device (via download manager) and iMovie has the ability for green screen effects, I can do everything on my phone. This is a great feeling!!

I’m having a weird issue with Sim and eSim on iOS 13.0 beta 2.

I have a European SIM card (physical card) it is turned off in carrier. Yet I’m getting info sms text messages from them.

When trying to send a sms text message using an existing sms I get an error saying to send it on my local carrier.

The text messages are from 400-904-254

I thought it was phishing, but the actual phone number in the sms text message is for my EU carrier.

Having the same issue here - physical SIM is turned off and the signal strength icon only shows one line active yet I am still receiving SMS messages on that line. I've tried toggling the line on and off but no luck.

I like the stock mail app and I hate how it’s not working properly now. I KNOW it’s beta don’t jump, I just wanted to share my frustration :p
What is not working? The only thing that I can see that is a little flaky is the count. It doesn't update when your in an email and you delete it. But when I go to the list it is updated. Everything else works the same for me.

I see that issue and as of today, I have a notification badge that will not go away. No big deal as notifications are working great so I'll know if a new one comes in.

Messages not loading consistently for me. Also, sent messages are being sent but do not appear in sent mail folder. Cannot delete messages either. This is all with iCloud.

Sorry...I don’t mean to pick on you and your question specifically but it may sound that way. I am only doing it for your own good. Really.

There are 652 posts in this thread ahead of your question that discuss - in great detail, I might add - how this beta is working on the various contributors’ devices. They discuss the negatives and the positives of the current release and that release only. Many go to a lot of effort to describe issues and others go to a lot of trouble to assist users experiencing issues. The bottom line Is that from these myriad posts, a general theme may be discerned about the general usability of this beta. A tapestry, if you will.

However, as there are infinite individual iOS device configurations out there (device, device age, apps installed, memory available, etc...), and who knows what else, everyone’s device performs differently on these betas. Some perform flawlessly. Some perform acceptably (and that is a user-determined threshold). Others perform miserably. And it’s impossible to know where any device will land on that spectrum until a beta is actually installed and running.

My point is: no one can truly answer your question, as we don’t know how your device will perform and what your tolerance is for bugginess.

Since that is the case, the best thing (and really the only thing) for you to do, is to read some significant portion of this thread. From that - and it certainly doesn’t need to be all 652 posts - you should be about to get a sense generally as to how this beta has been performing on a variety of devices. In doing this, you will see trends emerge as to the positives and negatives of this installation.

From that, you will be able to make an educated guess as to how this might perform on your device and whether this presents a risk profile you are willing to take on.

So, what I am saying is: if you are contemplating installing this beta on your device, invest the time to do a little research of your own, rather than asking a question no one can truly answer for you about your device and your willingness to accept potential problems.

Rant over!

Love this. I wish there was a way to highlight this as a general response to "Is this build daily driver ready?"
