Don’t know if it’s beta related, but my brother can unlock my iPhone via faceID. Worked several times, we are no twins (I’m 7 years older) and don’t really look like each other. Maybe this is how Apple improved faceID speed - in making it less secure.

I mean are there new features that would require more than 3 buttons?

In the past, we only needed two fingers to operate iPad but now we need three.

I don’t think there is any button requirement. This is an accessibility feature and not designed (yet) to be full mouse support. Buttons may work for some things, as I think some like Steve Troughton-Smith (@stroughtonsmith) have shared on Twitter. But, as iOS is not written for contextual menu type items in app, I’m not sure what they would do.

The way Apple utilises buttons is they map each button to perform one specific action. Depending on how many buttons your mouse have, you can customise each mouse button’s behaviour. While I would not say one button is sufficient, for regular use, a typical three-button PC mouse (left, right, middle) should be sufficient to perform almost any touch actions.

Shortcuts pertaining to Music are a no-go on this beta. Do I need to delete and re-add?

Also had a strange glitch with Maps I don’t recall having seen around here yet. Started navigation and then locked the phone and set it down only to notice the home bar illuminated on the black screen. Took several swipes and button presses to get my lockscreen to come up.

Once I was back in the phone Maps had crashed and navigation had to be restarted. This happened several times before I settled on just leaving it unlocked.

Just noticed....deleting mails from the bin (trash) is not possible. Nothing happens. I am on X. Anyone else?

so i have an older iMac on High Sierra still and i wasn’t gonna upgrade Reminders on PB 1 since it says that my Mac needs to be on the latest OS to sync. i was gonna continue to use Fantastical so that it would still work. well i tried it just to see...does anyone know if they will function on my iMac at all now? i’m sure the Reminders app itself won’t sync, but something like Fantastical?

I’m not sure. It probably depends on whether the Reminders “engine” powers Fantastical’s reminder function.

I’d like to answer this. Syncing reminders and calendars seems to work across operating systems regardless of version. The syncing is done using iCloud, and as someone who is running the beta on iPhone and iPad while still using the previous macOS, I have not had any issues with syncing.

As for fantastical, it works, but the reminders portion can not be edited using fantastical. If you attempt to change the default reminder list in fantastical, the app crashes. If you attempt to show reminders in the fantastical widget, it often won’t display anything. I will be pleasantly surprised if the PB2 fixes this problem. Other than this, fantastical still works on iOS 13

Been a while since I have logged in... really enjoying the beta. I can't seem to get the slide to type to work with my curse words. Also Gboard seems to be glitchy. Anyways, anyone have luck getting curse words on slide to type?

Yes I am having an issue with deleted emails not deleting they stay in the trash. I just use another device to actually delete the emails. Happens on both my iPhone XS Max and iPad Air 2019

Did anyone get phone app icon disappear from the home screen but is still accessible by searching for it.

camera roll is gone on xs max cant fine recent photos and also the resend selection(cant resend email on mail app).

Camera Roll is now called something like "all photos", took me a few frenzied minutes to figure that one out.

Forwarding an email seems to drop attachments. Must be a bug. Reported. Please do so also.

I’ve not had issues resending emails other than the one noted above.

Using a 256g XS Max.

Is there a reload with or without content blockers option in safari still? Or are content blockers not working on the betas?

Can anybody tell me where’s auto brightness toggle on iPad OS? It used to be on accessibility, but it isn’t anymore.

I tried searching through the search bar, but it gave me a path that does not exist(general>accessibility> Display accommodations. Accessibility is not on general anymore). So when I click on it, nothing happens.

yeah i have been using Fantastical on iOS 13. i guess i was trying to decipher if using it on my Mac also would work as far as syncing reminders. as far as i could tell, the message i got in Reminders on PB1 indicated that they wouldn’t work anymore with my iMac because it’s on a previous version and i would assume that has to do with the revamp it was given

Anyone having Face ID issues?
Working fine on my XS Max but only working intermittently on iPP 11.

Yes. I’m having the same issue. I reported it and there are “more than 10” similar reports per Apple. That’s their highest number (meaning “non-trivial”) so I suspect it’s affecting many. You should still go ahead and report it. Hopefully fixed by next beta.
