iPhone iOS 13 Beta 4 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

The ability is built in to Safari. Sites need to the use the "prefers-color-scheme" query and style themselves accordingly. Have a read at the article below. It mentions Mojave, but this applies and works in iOS13's Safari too

It was there for me on DP1. It disappeared for 2 & 3. I’m hoping it’s back for 4, but am away so can’t tell. One of the greatest features ever. So I’m sure they took it away for safety or such nonsense!

First, are you on developer or public beta profiles? Public was not released today. If you are on developer, uninstall and re-install the profile. That frequently fixes this problem. Finally, if those aren’t the solutions, keep trying: I couldn’t get it at all this afternoon, despite resetting my network settings and doing the profile uninstall/reinstall numerous times. It finally worked this evening. Not sure if i just needed to be on a different network or just the passage of time or what, but it finally worked.

And it’s a bad move by Apple. Mojave didn’t change anything to websites so I don’t think things will be different for iOS. I use the Dark reader safari extension in Mojave and it’s working almost perfectly. iOS should use this kind of stuff to bring dark mode to all websites.

I seem to not be able to activate the Share Name/Picture setting in iMessage, it says there's more than one number associated to my account but there isn't.

Signing out of iMessage and iCloud hasn't resolved it

The site I just linked responds to the system dark/light mode preference and so does Catalina's Safari. You might be right about Mojave mind you - I'm not sure the feature was in anything but the Safari tech previews.

As far as browser extensions inverting colors on the pages the key words you use yourself are "working almost perfectly". Rather than try to do the "smart invert" stuff which is difficult and prone to error Apple instead made it easy for the website authors to detect the user's preference and apply a style sheet of their choosing. No guesses, and inevitable ugly and wrong guesses, required.

Put the iPhone aside, place the Apple watch on your wrist, unlock the watch and then look at the setting/general/software update on the watch itself. (Only works with watchOS 6 beta 2 or higher)
 
Oh what the hell...now I can’t update apps from the App Store without going to the individual page for certain apps.

Never had this problem with the other betas. The “update all” option is grayed out.

I am on public beta and is this dev beta or public ??

I have no problems updating apps on iPhone or iPP 11 on db4.

Updated 7 on iPP and 32 on iPhone all by using Update All button.
 
I’m just waiting for the exchange notifications to be fixed and FaceTime to work before I jump in the beta cycle.

Even if there was (as there is in my case), I'm still not sure why this is a limitation.

This did not work for me, and removing and installing the profile didn't work either. So right now I'm stuck on Beta 3. Anyone else having this happen?

EDIT: Got it to work after deleting and installing the profile after the 3rd time.

long hold simulating 3d touch no longer works on lock screen notifications. did work on previous beta. iphone 8
 
Looks like a lot of mailboxes within the Mail app don’t show the status at the bottom of the screen “Updated Just Now,” “Connecting,” etc.
