Holy crap you take lots of pics. !!! My wife was at 6k and I thought that was a lot.

Only 3300?

I have 13k photos. I’ve uploaded the 10k+ of my photos until March 2019 is on my OneDrive because I only have 64Gb of storage and deleted them from my Phone, then March to today I have 2k+ photos. I wish I have bigger storage. I will get the highest storage when I upgrade next year.

EDIT:
P.S
I’m a hoarder. I like to be able to look back on my photos whenever I like it.

Does everyone experience a "black flash" when opening the camera app? I have this since beta 1

Back in the day, most people didn't carry a camera with them every where they go. And when you did, you had to pay to get the pictures developed.

Now, we always have a camera with us and there's no cost to developing pictures and essentially no cost to storing them. So it's very easy to take 1000 pictures per year, more if you have children or cute pets or if you travel a lot. Taking 2000+ per year isn't unthinkable by any means.

I suffer from a dumb and useless desire to get the best possible shot, so I'll take 5-10 slightly different pictures of a scene so I'll be able to pick from the best of them. Unfortunately, I never get around to deleting the outtakes.

Today, instead of the financial cost of developing pictures we have the mental cost of having to search through thousands and thousands of pictures to find the ones we're looking for. Software tools are making this easier, especially Google Photos tools IMO.

But still, I need to Marie Kondo my iPhone photo collection, big time.

This is pretty much every photo or downloaded image I've ever had since the iPhone 3G. My iTunes/iCloud backup's roots are that old.

I also noticed something interesting... I was connected to CarPlay when I did the screenshots (text overlay issue, above) ... and in addition to a screenshot of the phone image, it also took a screenshot of the CarPlay screen.
That’s not new.

Yep; I have the 2tb iCloud storage plan. Now before I added my gf to my plan, I was just at the threshold of 200gb. Her backups put me over.

I've found that Apple's Photos is definitely catching up with regards to the search capabilities. I wish it did the "On this day..." notification like Google did when I used it, but I'm not losing sleep over it.

I wish Apple would add a feature to add a tag on a photo or a keyword so it’s easier to search like in the Files app

I have the 1TB plan on my OneDrive. I would probably get the 500GB phone next year when I upgrade lol

Anyone else having service issues with AT&T on this beta? I’ll completely lose service and the only remedy is to reset network settings. iPhone X

happens even when using one language as well. :(

Edit : I’m wrong. Had to enable one language and restart phone. Now the blue lines don’t appear.

This is happening to me.... So you had to go in to Settings > Keyboards... delete one of the languages and just leave one? I currently have English and Spanish... So unless i remove the Spanish keyboard this will keep happening?

I was at the Apple Store the other night and the tech I was working with said he has 75K photos on his 256GB 7+. And 1300 4K videos. He takes these of his dogs. The sad thing is, who will ever go back through 75K photos, even if you wanted to?

Same here.
Mine started working yesterday.

If they'd had a 1tb XS model, I'd have picked that up. That being said, with the 512gb I can at least have my entire music library stored locally rather than streaming it from Apple Music.

Hi guys

How is public beta 3? Worth installing on XR as a daily driver?

YMMV, but after installing yesterday evening, PB3 seems to be quite smooth so far.

I guess the fact that books have black texts printed on white/yellow coloured papers proves otherwise, and white background with black texts help eyes concentrating on contents a bit better.

you just said the same thing that I did...

This. I recently went on a 2 week trip to Alaska and took over 1,000 photos. It’s very easy to do these days.

I went to Taiwan for 3 days and I took 900+ photos lol what more if I was there for 2 weeks lol

My main concern was my music library too. I had 20GB of songs, I had to chose between my photos and songs, I chose the photos lol

I mean, I have an unlimited plan, I was just concerned that all of that LTE-ing would be a drain on the battery. And since my coverage is pretty good in most places, having the phone pull down a full rez photo for editing/sharing/whatever isn't a huge deal.

On the flipside of all of this... I have the 1tb iPad Pro... and barely have anything on it. I restored it from my iPad backups which were always limited because my iPads always had limited storage. :D
