I updated and on my 8 plus the signal drops out all the time. It also drops calls where usually it wouldn’t. Like 5-10 times a day if not more. Also when connected to WiFi and bad service in the house it won’t make calls on WiFi calling. I have to restart my phone and turn off WiFi to make a call.
Then don’t visit the website
That’s a fairly weak argument against Dark Mode considering the vast majority of websites have white backgrounds.
Anyway we’re polar opposites it seems, so best to leave it there on this subject.
In Halide, when I attempt to take a photo in portrait mode, I get an error message in a pop-up dialog box that says "Error Taking Photo. The operation couldn't be completed." then an error code. Taking photos using the wide lens works fine and the pictures save to my Photo app.
In Focos, everything works as expected, no problems taking or saving portrait photos.

I'm also getting calls intermittently going straight to voicemail. Doesn't seem to be any rhyme nor reason to it.
That’s my whole point. They wouldn’t have to if Apple chose a different path with, for example, an enhanced version of Smart Invert as a default for Dark Mode throughout Apple News.
Leaving it up to Publishers will not work IMO.
I’d be more than happy to be proven wrong on this though.

Oh no it hasn’t . . . and you’d better get used to a lot more of it.
Dark Mode is only in the hands of a tiny fraction of the iDevice users out there at the moment.
This topic has plenty of legs yet and will run for a long time to come . . .
Email issues are resolved. Did a DFU, no restore from Backup and reloaded all apps. Have an exchange account and iCloud and notifications are appearing and so are emails. Was a Pain, but worked for me.
Thank you, I already have it set up as a Control Center button.

I’m definitely not, “laughing at you”.
I 100% agree as far as News is concerned and that the existing Dark Mode offering is a mess.
The fact of the matter is that it’s hard to judge Apple based on the behavior of websites and articles during the beta period. No one is going to recode their sites between June and September. If they’re going to do it at all, it will be on their own timeframe, and likely with a lot of “help “ from their marketing sidekicks, some of whom will veto dark themes just because.
Bottom line: it’s going to be a while before we can judge how effective this will be. I’d say, though, that with more platforms sporting a dark mode, it should happen.
Exist in beta 2 at least, maybe in iOS 12 already. I could not remember about this “iOS 12” one though.
I have the exact same problem. Not a dealbreaker but annoying for sure.
I didn’t delete the app. All I did was log out of iCloud on both of my devices and logged back in. Not sure why it’s not redownloading it
Customised lyrics are not working for now because Apple is currently migrating all songs to the new lyric system, the new lyrics system is now attached to the song timeframe.
Did that for me also. Eventually I gave up, was about to download Outlook, but all of a sudden there was the Mail app, downloaded to my phone.....
Unfortunately it still did not fix the issues.... Threaded emails messed up, error when syncing iCloud email, slow (shows "Connecting....") for at least 20 seconds, and sometimes have to force close the Mail app than restart to get it to sync fully.
Maybe I should just use the Outlook app for now
I have mine working after a dfu and re adding apps. Did not do a restore. Working fine with no issues now. Max with exchange and iCloud account.
But It only works for Apple Music. I seriously doubt users can add custom timeframe to custom lyrics.
I noticed though that my Just Stand Up! On my Library is no longer available, and it turns out there is a new version of it on Apple Music and it’s not using the new lyric system. Could be related to this issue
I’d say so. Maybe a few minor things here and there. So far, I’m liking it a lot. Everything is faster and smoother.
The biggest issue I’m seeing here in the forums is the mail app. I, myself, don’t use it. I use the gmail app and Outlook. So it depends on which you use.
