Messages notifications still ding when you are in the actual messaging thread and receive a new message. Annoying. Preferred the old way I believe it just made just a little whoosh sound rather than playing the actual notification sound assigned to it.

announcing messaging via Siri (and Airspods) not possible anymore.. no menu entry under "notifications"

2. When sliding the Messages app over, the entire app is greyed out. I keep Messages in slideover at all times and use this all the time. This bug is the worst!!! Anyone else having this issue?

Yup.. definitely annoying. I keep Messages app as a SlideOver as well, and I continue have to see it blank when I first open it. I'll have to open another app from SlideOver, then go back to Message app in order for it to work.

This beta didn't fix two of the most annoying bugs from Beta 5 on my 2018 12.9" iPP :(
1. Still cannot re-arrange or add apps to a folder that's in the dock. I have to move the folder to the home screen, make my changes and then move the folder back to the dock.

Yes was having the messages issue in the previous beta. Reported it. Installing DB 6 now.

That's what I've been doing in the meantime as well and it's definitely a pain! Glad to know I'm not the only one. Please report this as well if you haven't already!

Changing volume from 16 intervals to 32 intervals has nothing to do with being a beta.

Only morons can think of such moronic ideas.
Lmao what. They can do whatever they want in beta software. It's all about experimentation and customer feedback. That's why public betas exist...

They can make iOS all pink for all I care - if they get the feedback they're looking for then it'll have been well worth it. I bet some of the best features of iOS over the years came directly from customer feedback during beta cycles.

please just stop, you're literally ruining the beta-following community with that kind of negativity. As a developer myself I'd have a negative reaction to seeing people calling me a moron because I experimented with something during a beta in the hopes of adding something that most people would enjoy/prefer. Seriously, install iOS 12, we don't need this

I don’t understand how they still haven’t managed to fix the mail app. It’s beta 6 already.
A number of betas back I and a number of others signed out of iCloud and then back in and that seems to take care of most of the mail.app issues

Dark mode on home screen is definitely broken, it worked fine for me in previous betas. If you open a folder, you can see the folder background is darker, but returning to the home screen makes it lighter. Don’t want to do a Reset Settings, but if anyone is willing to, please report back on if that fixes the issue.
