Anyone's keyboard revert to white? Dark mode enabled but does nothing. Was fine in beta 5.

Oh, man...yeah, wallpaper settings are all screwed up. Woof.

I've heard that haptic touching things is faster now.

Can anyone confirm? Might as well try on links shown in webpages with Safari.

Yes, it’s very snappy and responsive. Feels great.

New 3D Touch/Haptic Touch sound on Home screen? I did 3D Touch on Home screen and had a clicking sound, never heard it before. o_O

Thank god for this!!

My button started acting up from pressing it too many times. I couldn't just hold the button down either because it would jump to the max instantaneously causing earache or temporary hearing loss.

Sometimes I wonder what kinda morons are in charge of iOS development.
Americans care nothing about hearing safety, only loudness, I guess.

I have the default red wallpaper on, ever since. I found that "Dark Appearance Dims Wallpaper" does nothing for me. Default is disabled, I enable it and find no change. If possible and not much of an inconvenience to you, would you kindly help with a screen grab showing the difference?
Happens the same with me.

If it’s not then it’s probably not gonna magically start just because Apple pushed a new beta. doesn’t mean it won’t, just that Halide has stated they aren’t being bothered with worrying about any beta users having issues cause it’s not public software yet. that’s what you should understand going in

interesting. Think it says a lot about Halide as a developer. So, they won’t do anything until after iOS 13 is released - then they’ll play catch up while letting the users hang.

The additional steps don’t make it louder, just gives you more control over the volume. Would be nice to have a few more steps but the huge number of steps in db5 were way too many.

Mine never seemed to, or I do not know exactly what will happen. Let's see on this beta. Surprisingly fast download.
It was dimming for me in DB5. However it always looked terrible. The brights were still bright and the darks were black. Basically it looked like it just turned the contrast up. Since it’s no longer working in this beta for me I’m guessing they’re still working on the effect. Also, I highly doubt it’s supposed to only work with the default dark mode wallpapers. Most people use their own.

They will release a iOS 13 compatible version of Halide after GM comes out, probably a couple days before public version, just like every other developer does. What’s the point of fixing your app when the next beta could screw it up all over again? When installing a beta, you basically agree to the fact that there will be bugs and some apps might be broken.

Halide and all developers have two things going against them during the beta period:
1) Why chase bugs wasting time that Apple is fixing until the GM is out?
2) If the reason something stops working during the beta is because Apple changed the underlying API the devs literally can’t update the App until the new iOS is public as Apple will deny any update with the new API’s.

Where can I activate or verify if “Good morning” screen with weather widget is activated? Can someone put a screenshot, please? Thanks.

‘just thought it sounded cold. Yes, of course you accept betas may break apps. I don’t think the original poster was really complaining so much as noting it. Still a ways to go before final public release. Despite what some have said, this is a significant update to iOS and devs may have to catch up.
The 3rd party apps I use have pretty much all worked.

Still don't quite get the point of "Updates" being basically inconveniently hidden in a sense, while there are essentially repetitive and unnecessary "Games" and "Arcade" tabs.
I feel the exact same way. They should’ve combined the two into one tab.

Pain? Lol.. that’s a bit too extreme. But it’s annoying though. It’s odd though. As I recall... it was light gray in beta 5 and when I did the “thing” to get it to work, I only get Messages on the top right of the app with everything blank.

I would have to tap on Message in order to see all the message thread. But in beta 6... I no longer get the same thing in beta 5. Beta 6 the Message app in SlideOver is white instead of “light gray.” And when I go back into it... I no longer get Messages app on the top right with everything blank. It just go straight to my entire message thread.
Lol.. I guess I use this a ton, I’m constantly sliding it back and forth.. so it’s painful to me!! Haha, and yeah, the behavior seems different than Beta 5 as you’re describing.. Hoping they fix this for B7!

No, they aren't allowed to release updates to the App Store if those updates rely on any iOS 13 API. If there's a bug in the public release that impacts iOS 13 and cannot be fixed without linking against the iOS 13 SDK, that's too bad, you're stuck with it until they're able to ship a fix. So, it's entirely possible that the bug has already been fixed but the fix can't be released, or they've decided that iOS 13 beta users comprise a small enough segment of their user base that it doesn't warrant their effort at this time.

I'd say you could use a TestFlight beta if they offer one, but it appears that Halide has chosen to keep their TestFlight program invite-only.

That's a rather generalized statement. I'm sure many of the younger folks don't give hearing safety much thought, but doubtful that all Americans care nothing about it. I guess.

And concerning the topic of the discussion, 32-step volume control doesn't mean the ultimate volume is louder... just that there are more incremental steps between OFF ('0') and MAX volume.

why was announce with siri for AirPods taken away and FaceTime correction hope they come back for final

FaceTime Correction has to make an appearance surely.

It was widely reported by the media as an iOS 13 feature at the start of the Beta.

Sure, and although that's "feedback" it's not really something that's broken or not working as designed, it's basically disagreement with some sort of a product/marketing decision, and short of practically everyone reporting the same thing when it comes to something like that (which is pretty far from even being close to realistic) it's not likely to even be noticed, let alone addressed in some way. That said, one never really knows.
I really actually like where updates are. It looks nice to me. And of course like you said it was a marketing decision. They obviously want to promote arcade as a big thing.
