So far its the most stable beta yet for me. Everything feels smooth and the battery seems to drain less than previous beta's. Also, they improved smart invert colours a lot. Now its very well integrated into dark mode. So with the exception of a couple bugs here and there I'm very surprised by this beta so far.

...aaaaaand the bugs just keep on coming.

In the conversation list of the Messages app, 3D Touch the left side of a conversation thread (basically, just 3D Touch on the contact’s photo) and enjoy having the app crash almost every time.

Fun!

(And, yes, I reported it)

hi.. anyone tested with carplay? .. because the last beta made me crazy.. after some time of song the phone is too hot and block app.. thanks use spotify

I’ve not seen this mentioned in any other of the beta threads, so:

Has Apple found a way to stop the “Hotspot trick” of connecting one phone to another’s hotspot to update over cellular?

For me the last few updates stop at Update Requested when on a hotspot, but immediately download as soon as I connect to real WiFi.
I think this trick has been “fixed”, as I cannot “borrow” iPhone mobile data plan to download iPad apps without prompting “app over 200MB are you sure”.

App Store update badge still not working for me. Pull down for updates & if there are any it does not show the update badge on home screen. Anyone else ?

What am I doing wrong? Optimize battery charging still doesn’t work for me.

Tested and reported the same behavior based on your feedback!
Same. Works fine with 3D touch on the message list, but do it on the contact photo and 50% of the time the app crashes/closes.

I'm also still having WiFi dropping and reverting to mobile data in FaceTime audio calls. I reported this a few betas ago, and Apple closed it with a curt "unable to diagnose with the info provided". Well, in that case, they should have asked for more info/logs, but no, better just to put blinkers on and move on to more exciting bugs to fix.

Logged it again.

However, to Apple's credit it is hard to reproduce as it's quite random, and seems to happen very regularly only when the person I'm calling actually does have a bad data connection (i.e. when they're outdoors). Tomorrow, when we chat again, I'm going to turn mobile data off and see if the call actually drops (rather than how it is now where it stays connected but we can't hear each other) when WiFi drops.

This seems to be new. Happens with any app on the AppStore when using cellular. Didn’t get it on Beta 6 anyway.

A question,

peek & pop on websites , has the pop disappear?? It’s a bug or in iOS 13 it’s gonna be so?

Peek is gone. It pops a preview of the link with a menu. Unfortunately it's the same in many other areas that used to support peek/pop like Photos and it's our new reality. It's a bit bewildering that Apple removed this functionality from devices that support it. Interestingly I noticed that peek/pop still work in the Google app.

ever since the first beta I installed on my old iPhone 7 (beta 3 or 4) ive noticed crazy terrible battery life. the phone will jump from like 74% and next time I look over, its at like 45%. its done this on all the betas so far and beta 7 hasn't helped yet. is there something particular thats literally killing the batteries on these? I'm scared to install it to my iPhone X now.

also, to update the watch to beta 6, the phone needs to first be on iOS 13 right? thought I remembered seeing some threads about specifically updating one first then the other to avoid issues.

On a related note, how does one even check battery life anymore? That screen makes no sense to me since they changed it from the old “time since last full charge.”
