That‘ll never happen. They shipped previous phones with trash tier quality iOS GMs. iOS 13 is god tier compared to abominations like iOS 11 and co.

iPhone OS 2.0 comes to mind. That's when Mobile Me launched and it was bad. Choppy, slow...just bad. I don't think they fixed it fully until 2.1-ish.

It's not "newly independent"; in every way except its marketing name it is still very much iOS. iOS and iPadOS have the same build numbers for a reason.

Even if they load the phones in the factory with a build of iOS 13 that isn’t quite ready they will still have a few weeks to keep meaning tweaks and release a 13.0.1 as the final build. Im pretty sure iOS 10 actually released as 10.0.1.

anybody noticed a few features missing in photos app from ios 12? for example there are no related photos when I swipe down in photo, there is not an option to edit title style of the memories video or there are no songs when I want to pick some based on genre(alternative,downtempo,latin,metal,reggae), already provided a feedback but its still missing , I know its not important but i dont get why it was removed since I personally use it alot

Just because a beta is newer doesn’t mean it necessarily better lol...I think anyone here who has actually used a beta can attest to that. And that’s for letters and beta release numbers, but typically, earlier in the alphabet is better.

When was the last time the final beta prior to release or GM wasn’t an a or b? This is a legit question, I honestly don’t know.

Back in the days I was testing 11 and 12 on my iPhone and I found out that first betas of these updates were FAR MORE stable than the final releases lol

I agree and argued that a number of times with people asking for separate subforums for it. What I'm saying is the naming/marketing is antithetical to the delivery. It's a significant step backwards in my view.

Shortcuts automations. Where you could set up shortcuts to run when you e.g. arrive at a place or an event happens in the Os (e.g. low power mode on or dark mode).

I don’t have that issue, but all the dynamic wallpapers on my 7 plus are different from the thumbnails.

That being said, I’m still satisfied they made improvements to accommodate the bigger screen and what a tablet is made to do instead of having a zoomed in iPhone with the iPad name slapped to it.

I went through all bugs I submitted (including this one) and added a note „Still present in build 17A5572a“ to them. I‘ll continue to do that every time a new beta hits and the bugs are still present.

Right, just because they are announced in September they may not ship till Mid October. They will surely ship with IOS13
