iPhone 7 here, no restores. Apps are updating fine for me.I still can’t update apps at all, even after a DFU restore.
Marco Arment speculated that the new phones might not ship with iOS 13 (because he doesn’t think it’s ready). Jason Snell wondered if the new phones could ship with a special build of iOS 12 (I guess to account for new hardware features). I’m skeptical Apple will ship new phones with anything other than iOS 13.Absolutely. Now it's about polish, not adding new features or changing UI. That being said, needs more polish!
That‘ll never happen. They shipped previous phones with trash tier quality iOS GMs. iOS 13 is god tier compared to abominations like iOS 11 and co.Marco Arment speculated that the new phones might not ship with iOS 13 (because he doesn’t think it’s ready). Maybe it's too early to tell, but mail seems to be better.
It's not "newly independent"; in every way except its marketing name it is still very much iOS. iOS and iPadOS have the same build numbers for a reason.newly independent iPadOS

Back in the days I was testing 11 and 12 on my iPhone and I found out that first betas of these updates were FAR MORE stable than the final releases lolJust because a beta is newer doesn’t mean it necessarily better lol...I think anyone here who has actually used a beta can attest to that. And that’s for letters and beta release numbers, but typically, earlier in the alphabet is better.
When was the last time the final beta prior to release or GM wasn’t an a or b? This is a legit question, I honestly don’t know.
The "a" build stands for "aargh, Mail is still a mess".
It‘s not going to ship with iOs 13. Maybe 13.1 if we‘re lucky.Automation works??
Do we expect them to be rectified in the upcoming beta? or deferred to 13.1?All of the Mail app bugs are still present for me. Terrible.
Feels like I missed something or forgot. What Automations people are talking about? It‘s not going to ship with iOs 13. Maybe 13.1 if we‘re lucky.

Shortcuts automations. Where you could set up shortcuts to run when you e.g. arrive at a place or an event happens in the Os (e.g. low power mode on or dark mode).Feels like I missed something or forgot. What Automations people are talking about?
I agree and argued that a number of times with people asking for separate subforums for it. What I'm saying is the naming/marketing is antithetical to the delivery. It's a significant step backwards in my view.
why are you pressing and holding? to pop out the submenu?I went through all bugs I submitted (including this one) and added a note „Still present in build 17A5572a“ to them. I‘ll continue to do that every time a new beta hits and the bugs are still present.
Right, just because they are announced in September they may not ship till Mid October. They will surely ship with IOS13Marco Arment speculated that the new phones might not ship with iOS 13 (because he doesn’t think it’s ready).
